So I grabbed the demo to see if the game would run on my computer but the first thing I noticed was sound skipping in the intro vids. When I got to the main screen I'd get 5-6 seconds where everything would be fine then 2-3 seconds where the sound would skip and everything would lock up. Every time I clicked a button in the menu the game would also lock up for a few seconds and the clicking sound would skip. Entering the game it was the same problem, I could zoom around the 3d view at perfect frame rates but every few moments the game would lock up and the sounds would skip.
What should I do to fix this situation? I'd really like this game to work and would love to buy it but I'm not going to buy a game that runs like this.

Try renaming the Movies directory of the game to NoMovies. I think this has been resolved for the full version in the 1.10 patch.

I actually on scanning through some older threads here found someone with the exact same problems. All you need to do is restart after installation! Easy! Game works great now!
