Idea about ministry and inflation
In the ministary today we can choose a few options.
I dont remember wich the options are.
You could in future games/expansions select, democratic socialism / communist regime. And its adversary capitalist democracy / capitalist regime.
Then with socialism/communism you would be able to select wich rents you would have, you could dispatch teamsters to specific industries/farms/docks etc, choose the pricing at bars etc etc.
You could select wich establishments that would be under your controll and wich would be let up for the free market to run.
This meens you can keep your population happy even if they belong to the people on the island with the least amount of pay.
Downside would be lowered overall production.
If you had capitalism you wouldnt be able to do any of that and the pricing would depend on how much the establishments can take out as a maximum / the demand for the service - depending on the workers pay wich you dont set your self but is negotiated through citizens unrest / the availability of workers.
Meening that some people simply would not afford to buy food and housing if there is to little demand for their service as workers.
Benefit from capitalism would be greater overall production, and you actually make use of the Stockmarket.
Downside would be that if your citizens wages gets to high, at the same time as you cant meet the industries educationall standards - the industries will close down and move to other tropican islands.
What good would this bring to the game?
Ive played two and a half sandbox game and i know i can beat the game every time, so its not really interesting playing another one.
Playing as socialist the game would remain the same, playing as capitalist would be more complex, you wouldnt know exactly what would happen next since your not in totall controll of everything, bringing inflation into the economy for example (inflation is pricing on all establishments and would work just like 100% occupancy on hotells).
But capitalism might bring a greater Yield, aswell as a harder difficult level (game mechanic wise)
Something like that.
