The 360 version of Tropico 3 got absolutely zero technical support which makes me a bit concerned about support for Tropico 4.

I loved Tropico 3 and played the hell out of it until I ran into the save issue associated with Population. No big deal just worked around it, didn't do alot of sandboxing then came the glitch, or whatever you choose to call it, that made it so I couldnt visualize things I was building and it happened pretty much everytime. Completely made the game unplayable.

There are so few games of this nature for 360 that I want it to be successful, I would buy a copy just for that reason but if there is zero support again I will not be buying the game.

If anyone knows what kind of support level this game will get please respond.

With Tropico 3 the moderator said a patch was coming and kept saying it then it was posted on the German forum that nothing would be forthcoming and nothing on the international board. Very strange situation.

It's difficult to say how it will pan out really. I would say it's unlikely that a save game bug will be present, but it would also be incredible if a console game in this era was completely bug free. You just have to hope if there are any that they aren't game breaking.

As for support(patches), well you'd just have to wait and see on that one. No way you'd get an offical line on that. Hopefully the delay was to finely polish and it will be in tip top shape.

I would suggest getting a computer. The graphics are so much better on a pc.

I would suggest you give constructive answers to the OPs question. I suspect he is well aware the game is also released on PC.

I'm not sure of the technical limitations with XBox & XBox Live (I have a 360 but have never used Live/online), but isn't this the case with most games?

From what I've seen, developers in general tend to (if needed) heavily patch PC games without giving similar love to their console counterparts. I would guess this is because patching on consoles is a slightly more involved process which might even cost a developer money, whereas doing small incremental patches and posting them online is simply easier/cheaper to pull off on PC?

In either case, you guys are right, a game on any platform deserves support and patching where needed, so lets hope the devs do so for T4.

Yes, i agree there should be full support for all, but indead most patch the pc games, not so much the consoles. It's the same with mods...pc only, nothing for consoles. There is always an advantage to having a pc.
