It's a hands on preview, not a review. The fellows at GR, who I am a big fan of, probably won't have a review up till release date or after.

Question RE: New review, different take on it..
It makes an interesting comment:

Quote:Tropico 4 has added even more details to your rule since 3, allowing you to hand pick employees for each of your buildings.

What does that mean?

It's probably talking about that ministry building (I think that's what it's called), since you pick who you want to employ for it. Is this true for the stock exchange aswell?

No I do not think so. Stock Exchange probably have college educated. But if Stock Exchange is somewhat alike the privatization edict it is not worth it to use. Private buildings that pay you low rent for using all your natural resources.

I tell you it wont be worth it unless you want a complete banana economy.

Privatization is entirely different compared to Tropico 3. The stock exchange can help you unlock foreign investment proposals.

That's ONE building; why did they say, "hand pick employees for each of your buildings" ?? Are they so unobservant as to mistake a single building for many buildings?

(P)Reviewers today usually are indeed not very observant of strategy games. Especially if they're not into the series as much as we are.
They usually take some time to grasp all the details.

O.K. -- another bit of publicity down the dumper.

Why am I not surprised?

Could your lack of surprise possibly be due to past experience ?
