Flyovers in T4. Feature or Bug?
I am not sure if I am the first one discovered this. You can build overlaped roads without actually connect they together, which means it works like a flyover. Here is the picture.

And here is how to make it:
1. Build a straight road and another perpendicular to it. Make the second road ends as close as possible to the first one.

2. Just extend the second road cross the first one. At a certain point you'll see it turns from red to normal.

Yeah just so easy. It does NOT work on T3 so I think it's a new feature or bug or something. Have a try!

I combined it with the other idea about curved byways and it works quite well as a highway junction!

This is one of the best discoveries/tips so far. Great job, Callyfish. And I agree with Cocapelli - Kalypso, please don't "fix" it. :-)

What is that shaded area in the lower-left and upper-right quadrants? Pavement, like a plaza? Did it appear on it's own when you created the other curved roads? Do it in the other two quadrants and you have effectively created bypasses for a busy intersection!

I placed and deleted some apartments, just to make the curved road more like a circle. And I thought someone had mentioned that 'T' junction is more effecient than normal crossroads, not sure...

Sorry guys, some one in the other forum mentioned it works in T3, yeah it did work.
At the very beginning I was just want to make a very round circle. And here it is, nothing useful, just the circle looks good.

And this don't work in T3. So I thought the overlaped crossover won't work too. Sorry about the mistake.

Please don't fix it indeed ...

This is entirely your fault... and I thank you for it.

I do not recommend exploiting this bug. Traffic was never designed with overpasses in mind so the consequences of this are unclear and may even corrupt your savegames after a while. The bug will be fixed in the upcoming patch, though.

The result is that the two tracks act as individual points of road. From what I can see, road segments are point terminated (X1,Y1 to X2,Y2), so there isn't an issue in terms of how it's behaving.

Can we have real overpasses? Smile Even if it's at a later date ...
