Maybe i have played too much on one island?

Was it a crash? Did your computer show the blue screen of death? Did you get the end-mission screen? I need to know exactly what happened to help.
In all honesty, I doubt it's related to your oil deposits. It can either be your computer, or some of your game files are corrupt or incomplete. I suggest you wait for other responses, maybe someone from Kalypso staff will help you more.
My screen doesnt show any blue screen or something. I am just playing and in 1984 july the screen just freezes. its like picture but i cannot build anything or move over island even cant open menu. it just freezes until I switch it off from task manager I have left it for more than 30 minutes but it didnt help.
maybe someone had the same problem? Or I though maybe its because i have played for many years till 1984?

- What are your computer specifications?
- What was your population?
- Do you have a crashlog (you should if the game goes into "Has stopped working" -- check %APPDATA%\Tropico 4\crashes, and paste the file between [code] tags)?
Sorry for my silly question!
My games are freezing very often, and sometimes I am not able to continue the games, because the saved games seems to be defect.
But I have never heard ( nor found) a directory named "Crashes". Why?
How can I find it?

Unfortunately I've got only the following folders at Tropico 4:
- challenges
- fcb_screens
- logs
- ShaderCache
- users
Are the txt-files at logs the protocols for the crashes?
(sorry for my bad English )
