Modern times apply to original campaign?
I just got modern times and I was going to play through the old campaign with the new buildings and such but nothing is there, does it show up later or something?

Thanks.

RE: Modern times apply to original campaign?
From what little information I've managed to get from a friend in the UK, there's a loading difference (folder structure). I'm also told that Ford's HPK extractor doesn't work properly either, so modding will be delayed until someone finds time to fix it.

The short version is that I'm being told the data doesn't load, suggesting some minor (and very awesome) engine changes Smile

So you are saying that in order for me to experience the expansion I am going to have to play the new campaign?

Sorry, the massive additions and new features of Modern Times would break the classic campaign if they were available there, so you will have to play the Modern Times campaign or a sandbox game with the Modern Times features enabled to enjoy all the new stuff. All of the previous DLC additions will still work with the classic campaign, though.

Awesome; data loading changes! Thanks for confirming the weirdness, Timo Smile

What years are good for starting Modern Times sandbox games? Obviously you wouldn't waste your time starting before 1970 but are there events in the 80s or late 70s? Or does it all kick off a little later?
