Help. I have Tropico 4 on Steam. Today I bought 2 x DLCs on Gamersgate (Plantador and Quick Dry Cement). I logged in to Kalypso Launcher and activated both of the keys. However, nothing appears in the "Your Downloads" section. Why is this? When I launch the game on Steam I don't see any option to activate any of the DLCs??

Steam DLC is incompatible with non-Steam DLC. It's the only division between Steam/Non-Steam Kalypso games -- Steam handles the DLC a different way (through Steam).

I honestly have no idea. I'd try contacting support, but I doubt there's much they can do.

Getting a refund from GG might be the best approach, and then getting them on Steam instead.

Yes. He should ask for a refund and them buy them from Steam. There is no way to get non-steam T4 content to work with Steam-based T4.

Hmm possibly, but I got them for $2.00 each on GG. On Steam they're $4.99

Yes, but, as I said, the mechanism is different.

There's only one way to force it to work between the two versions: launching from the exe, not through Steam. Even then, you lose Steam stuff when you do that.

That's like going to the doctor with a broken leg and him saying "you shouldn't have fallen off your bike". Does not help one iota.

Well, they also removed non-Steam mode from the Steam release, which is odd, but I guess it makes sense (as non-Steam launches locked all Steam launches out by virtue of the DLC).

No... thats like going to the going to the doctor, saying you have a broken leg.. he fixes it, Now you are complaining to the dentist he didn't do it right...

Kaylpso has Nothing to do with how steam runs it's company. The steam version only works with other steam versions. It is that way for every single Game on steam, It doesn't mater who the publisher is. If you buy software through steam you have to live with "Steam Rules"

So you should let Steam Know that you don't like how they run things, as that is the service you are having the problem with.. does it suck? yea... But that is steam for ya...

Well, it's unfair because now Kalypso are getting paid twice by me having to purchase the DLCs again. Why should they deserve that?

Anyway it's only $4.00 lost, if I had paid more I would be angrier.

as i said, It is a steam issue... If you did not use the codes, and they wont return them at GG, maybe you can sell them to someone..
