Patch 1.4
I know there is a ton of dream updates for this game, but here are a few minor changes that are easily altered that I have found:

Tooltips
Lawyer's tooltip says 'increases penalty from rule violations' surely this should read 'decreases penalty...'

translation on Fan Spokesman is incomplete 'Fanzufriedenheit' in English version.

Space missing in 'productioncosts' for Chief Engineer.

Others
Test drivers should not really have car numbers. My editted new team have numbers 24, 38 and 39. Numbers should be assigned to teams and not drivers (apart from previous year's champion). [Does the number '0' appear in place of 1 if Champion does not take part in following season?]

Take a look at EASports F1 Manager and the Driver Feedback for races. That is what everybody would like where quality of Feedback from Engineers and drivers is better. We do not appreciate the jokey 'A-E-R-O what?' comments from a senior driver.

Driver experience on editted drivers should reset for their age. I have a young 19 year old driver with more experience than a 28 year old driver.
Staff
If you start a new game without returning to windows the generated staff from the previous game are still there. Along with any contract offers you have made. You can keep restarting a game until you have loads of staff to choose from, offer a contract to the best one. Start a new game and that staff member has already received a contract offer from you.

RE: Patch 1.4
Adding to that, characteristics for wing angles for tracks seems to work well or better when complared to the other parts. I would like to see suspension, camberand all the other parts you can adjust playing a larger role in car setups for each track. At the moment it seems setting most parts to maximum will give you a much better chance than trying to find a setup that works. This is where the game is broken i think and needs fixing for this new patch. I want to see tracks like Montreal where its characteristics of a bumpy track effects what kind of setup you use and different to that of Silverstone where its not so bumpy but is just as fast. By fixing the setup bug i think many people would be having much more fun and saying how big an improvement this is on RTML. In its current way yes it is a big improvement but there are some things that hold it back from showing its true potential and once those are fixed then you could work on expanding the gameplay aspects to offer more fun from the game and a bigger challange.

As good at these ideas are, and as countless threads have already stated, there no more updates planned, thus the game remains in an unplayable form.

It is up to the modding community to make the game.... well, a playable game rather then an object taking up space on my hard drive.

RE: Patch 1.4
Really, wow that sucks. Reminds me of Age Of Pirates 2 City Of Abbandened Ships. Was released with game breaking bugs and the modding community was left to fix the problems which they did very well.

Because i have never modded this type of game can anyone tell me what files i need to look at or if there are any topics any where that help to explain what does what?

I modded the F1 Manager database files (those in notepad). Have a Hex editor but haven't used it really.

If you open up an .exe file into notepad you won't see the characters because it's in code. A Hex Editor displays the file in an editable format but you still have to know where to look and edit it, not to mention find out if you have messed up any call-up code that you've messed up.

It's tricky to do but I've seen it work before.

No idea where I got it from. Search for Hex Editors online.

You are joking me! They drive the WRONG WAY around some tracks?

Jesus, I was willing to give them some slack about this game but this is shocking.

SHAME ON YOU KALYPSO.

RE: Patch 1.4
Even though this game has many problems i have to look at it in another way and look at its good points. RTML was good, not everyone liked it but it was a good attempt and i look at this game and now having arrived at the Moza race in my 1st season i think i will continue to play this game over RTML. Like i said before in another topic on this site, this is a step in the right direction. Its sad that the guy's aren't going to release more updates because i think with the issues fixed this game would be a great game and perhaps bring more F1 fans to this game.
