Bugs and Balancing
In my opinion, those are the two areas that need improvement that would immediately improve the game - bugs and balancing.

If Kalypso's resources are limited, I hope they focus most of their energy in those two areas to improve the expansions. I hope the expansions "reboot" this game. It has too much potential to fall by the wayside. I think everyone's postive experience would be greatly increased. At this point, it's not about features necessarily or even going back to D2 style gaming (although that would be nice). Just fix the bugs and balance everything in the game for the expansions. My two cents.

Well think Akella could show some responsibility in this aswell, since its afterall originally at core their development, and Kalypso is merely making/publishing the EU version of game from what i understand.

Who in their right mind would buy an expansion after this?

And who out of the developers/publishers involved would have the money to invest in them?

Disciples enthusiasts who have the spare bucks and are looking forward to playing with the editor(?), playing the undead hordes and hoping for maybe further bug fixes?

If they release an international expansion pack I will get it definitely Big Grin
Benefit-Cost-Ratio of D3 was positive for me and would be for the expansion as well.

I'm in no matter what. The game is still fun despite the flaws imo. I've modded a lot of balance changes, but I do hope they clean up some of the major bugs and give the AI a boost. It is something they claimed they will do..

Well, if they repeat the same thing with the expansion, then you're right. That's why I suggest a focus on the bugs and balancing should be the emphasis for the expansion. They have a lovely engine and fantastic artwork. Now they just need a functional game.

You would honestly give them more money after this? If they release a major patch to fix most if not all of the big bugs AND the expansion is relatively problem-free, I might consider it. Otherwise hell no. I don't care if they are homeless and starving, they don't deserve my money.
