Short answer; Nope! It just increases your'e score, with no in-game benefits.

lol I suppose you're not entirely wrong about them giving you money when you go to Switzerland.

Anyone notice how in the T4 demo if you start a new game with the same profile the money in your swiss bank carries over? I'm guessing this means that the money in your swiss bank account will carry through all 20 missions in the regular campaign?

It would be cool to finish the game with $50 million in your swiss account. Smile

They mensioned that El Presidente would be having Campaign stats in the promotional anouncements. Hopefully it also means mission highscores/stats will be kept track of instead of just a single campaign highscore. Not entirely sure how changes to El Pres's profile, multi-profile players or re-installing will effect the server system. Wonder how many accounts a player can have on the server system, just in case someone wants to compete with themself?

I believe Timo came out and said that you can have THREE El Presidente "Profiles."

And I agree, this is a massive improvement over previous gameplay. I've always found the Swiss Bank account and scores to be pretty arbitrary, especially with no continuity from map to map. What's the point of stashing Swiss Bank cash if it just makes your game tougher and has no impact on gameplay aside from some bogus score at the end?

That said, having it carry over and build up over the course of 20 campaign missions will be sweet. And like you said rj, doing this over 3 "Profiles" will be a cool way to challenge yourself. Not to mention Leaderboards and Online Challenges too!

George W. Bush: "A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it." El Presidente agrees. Cool

As of now, the Swiss Bank Account is useless and is only for adding extra points towards your final score.

Back in 2010, I posted a thread suggesting that the developers should allow you to use the money in your Swiss Bank account to purchase unique upgrades for El Presidente. Many users offered some really interesting ideas there:

RE: bank.
What good is the final score? Does that get you anything extra if its good?
Maybe would be nice if for example you did really well in the previous mission you get some extra startup money in the next.
I don't see the point in taking away your island's money if it doesn't get you anything... but then i'd be a rubbish evil dictator anyway.
