Incredibly irritating texture bug (T3 and T4 demo)
Sometimes when playing some of the textures of individual structures or citizen types appear to become set to the lowest possible setting (or considering how blurry they are - possibly lower). I have tried deleting the appdata folder entirely, reinstalling the game, clearing the registry of the tropico directory - everything. then when I reinstall, the bug persists. I am playing on Ultra and have the latest ATI Radeon drivers.

In T3 this bug affects many of my citizens and also a few structures such as the guard station.

In T4... nearly half of everything (buildings, some cars, most citizens, and even the ground and trees) has this problem, which makes the game so ugly as to be unplayable. If this bug is not fixed I will NOT be purchasing T4.

Is there a fix to this bug? how can this bug even possibly persist through multiple reinstalls? Is there an engine cache in appdata somewhere I need to delete?

I'd like to know how you got at the AppData folder. My new Windows7 computer won't acknowledge the existence of it, nor its contents (the Steam versiion of T3:AP). But the game can access the folder with no problem.

I'm on Win7 64bit - google view hidden folders.
additionally: interestingly, verifying the file cache ALWAYS finds at least one or two files to replace - but not knowing which one I cannot delete them manually to try and re-jig the game to work...
