RE: Tropico 4 - Bug Reports Thread (Version 1.0 only!)
hey All,
Currently in 4th mission and somehow I am unable to change building options for instance from general education to > Parachioal education or from normal training to special ops training.
I press it the same way as in tropico 3 and the bar pops up and immedialty goes away making it impossible for me to change. Anyone else has this problem?

AFAIK (I'm on a vacation right now, so I can't check) versions of the game that got released later (like the Steam version) have this already fixed in them. Anyway, it will be fixed in the first patch (again I can't give you an ETA because I'm away from the office).
Awwwwwww yeaaaaaaaah.
I bought my version in person, so I'm eagerly awaiting patch release. Thanks for the heads up!

Bug Report: Whenever attempt to share an achievement on Facebook - Tropico 4 sends it to my Facebook and then the game locks, goes to not responding and I have to kill it in the task manager.
My roommate has the same issue - on a computer with different specs. I'm running Windows 7 Home Prem - 64Bit.
Edit: For clarity, yes the picture makes it to Facebook - but Tropico says it doesn't...and then it locks.

RE: Tropico 4 - Bug Reports Thread (Version 1.0 only!)
Hi!
I am currently playing Tropico 4 version 1.0, yet a very peculiar bug happens. My chosen resolution is 5040x1050, in other words 3 monitors each displaying 1680x1050. Although the resolution can be chosen and the FOV is at it should be, if I switch to this resolution at the main menu and try to begin the tutorial or campaign the game crashes. If however I am at a lower resolution, say 1680x1050 or lower (which means playing the game in only one screen) the game runs with no problems whatsoever.
Yet oddly enough, if I start the tutorial and campaign at a resolution of 1680x1050 or lower and change to a resolution in the main game feature (not the main menu) to 5040x1050 the get runs fine. However after 5 years of play or so when the game momentarily changes to a loading screen, if I have a resolution of 5040x1050 the game crushes.
My OS is Windows 7 64-bit ultimate, and my graphics card nVidia GTX 295 with the latest drivers.
Thanks

Bought the steam version today and I have a major gamebreaking problem.
The camera autorotate left, fast. I have deleted local files and reinstalled, no go.
There is nothing wrong with my mouse / keyboard in other games, so thats not it.
This sound simular to my problem, however my auto rotate happen no matter what zoom level I'm at. And this post is about another kalypso game. But maybe they use the same core game engine

I am kinda shocked that the maps are starting to repeat themselves on the missions. You couldn't make 20 different maps? Kinda lame. Next time call me up and I will make you some. Or hold a contest and get the players to make them for you.
More Bugs.
1) The unemployed counter seems to be correct but the open jobs counter never seems to be correct. On several occations I have checked every business and counted and the numbers are not even close.
2) Several times I have been changing the immigration office from open door to skilled worker etc and it will tell me 9 skilled workers have arrived and nobody shows up.
3) The edict to increase export prices by 20% doesn't seem to do anything. I will have to double check but the last few times I did it I got no message in the top of the screen and when I checked the numbers they seemed the same.
Thanks,
T

Thanks!

I am not sure why the arch bug is ruining your fifth mission? I don't remember dealing with the arch on that mission, so only way to answer your questions is:
How do I get around this problem: Do you have to get around it?
Are developers aware of this bug: Yes
When will the next patch arrive: When it is ready
How did you guys manage to complete mission 5: Easy: By doing all tasks and get creative :-) There are no impossible missions on T4, and bugs do not make completing the game impossible.

If you don't have a game controller connected, try reverting your mouse driver to the very basic one that comes with your Windows version. I suspect that some third-party software may be overwriting your mouse functions.
@Timo.
Problem located between the keyboard and chair
Turns out I had a USB X360 controller connected, it was upside down in a shelf. When I flipped that over problem was solved.
Tried 2 other games to test, but no spinning in them as the X360 controller wasn't set active in them.
Anyway, problem solved. Thanks for your reply.
