OK, if I had known you're using these online-activation schemes, I would never bought it. But sadly, I did.

I'm 100% sure I typed the correct serial (checked several times), but now I just get:

Perfect! Now I'm not able to play the game I've just purchased..

None of our retail versions of Patrician 4 use Securom. Chances are you bought the game from a download portal using Securom protection or downloaded an incompatible patch that does not work with your version. Note that updates for this game are exclusively available via Kalypso Launcher.

Ok, I did patch it after installing, as I always want to make sure I have the latest version.. Might have been patched to use "Securerom" then.. I did also buy the extension/addon, which did enable me to play that part of the game. And yes, my copy is a retail version, both with DVDs.

I'll check if I can remove the original (not addon), and install it without the v1.3 patch, and see if things works.. We'll see. Thanks!

OK, it did work, all though it did love to put my screen on 640x480 all the time, which do not work that well on a 30" LCD with 2560x1600. :-)

Anyhow, is there anywhere to download patches, and have them psychically locally if I'm not connected to the Internet, or your server in the launcher is way gone in the future?

Finally, how is STEAM copy working regarding patches? Both for Patrician IV and the addon? Is STEAM the only DRM being used? (I'm wondering because a friend of mine is considering buying the game..).
