Resources not being picked up
Hello,

So I have this problem that the goods aren't being picked up but I have a lot of Teamster Office's in the area, how can I solve this because I am missing alot of fabrication.

Also I am having them connected to the road with the side where the boxes(goods) are stored on the farm.

Thanks!

RE: Resources not being picked up
Your teamsters are either on their rest/food/whatever breaks, busy doing whatever the program thinks is more important, or stuck in traffic. I have found that clicking on a Teamster's Office usually brings up two or three yellow markers, over the heads of teamsters miles away from where I'd like them to be: where the others are remains a mystery, probably asleep.
It would be nice if you could in some way draw their attention to the 1015 cigars waiting at the factory, to get those collected before the output falls to 15. But you can't.

Thanks for the explanation. Also what I find very annoying is that when you are playing and you are further in the game that al the Teamster's Office's and Garage's are not employed. This happens everytime to me (sandbox). I was doing very very good, had 500.000 money and then everything implodes, now I have like -400.000. How can I regulate/control this better?

By "not employed" I take it that you mean there are no workers at the offices and garages. That is, you have few, or maybe no, teamsters. Set the pay rate higher to attract men from other jobs.

You need to shut down education mid-to-late game otherwise people educate themselves out of the unskilled bracket and you run out of terrible-tier people. It's the one fault I find -- you can't have "any tier" teamsters.

@ Drumpie - Food farms retain a reserve for eating; it's not picked up by teamsters.

People are not prohibited from taking jobs which do not require the education they have, are they?

RE: Resources not being picked up
I've had a problem with the chemical factory where teamsters just wouldn't pick up the goods. When I fired the workers and they joined back up the teamsters would show up. Then I'd have to repeat the process next time. Another I have is if I build two mines too close. One mine will not produce anything. I just tear down the mine and build it a little farther away. That seems to fix the problem.

Amigo, anyone can work anywhere. Of course an educated citizen will prioritize higher education jobs, however if there aren't any left, but plenty of uneducated jobs they will work there. That explains how my College females work in the Farms early game because I don't have any jobs for them.

You also have to watch the job satisfaction figures. If for example you have all your "uneducated" people on the same wage then you may find your farms run short of workers as they've gone to jobs with higher satisfaction - assuming such jobs are available.

And most people have spare higher tier jobs yielding a void in the lower tiers ...

That's exactly why you lock those jobs.

I'd say chances are your population is not sufficient. If you have 100 people and 100 open jobs it doesn't matter what education level they have. Thats also assuming they all fit the gender acquirements for the jobs as well. But, as already said, a college educacted person will always go for a college job first. But, if none are available they will take anything thats open.

I found that going into your journal theres a place that shows how many job positions are available. If it says 30 its a good sign that you need 30 more Tropicans. Don't build ANYTHING until the next freighter comes. If 10 people show up your open job positions should drop to to 20. Its possible your just outbuilding your population and more than likely with the Teamsters being a low satisfaction, low paying job the Tropicans are going elsewhere to work.
