KALYPSO MEDIA BRINGS HISTORIC PC FRANCHISE TO NORTH AMERICA WITH ‘TROPICO 3’

Kalypso Media today announced that the highly acclaimed PC strategy series, Tropico 3, will be released in North America this September. Developed by Haemimont Games, Tropico 3 puts players in the role of ‘El Presidente’, the two-bit dictator of a strategically positioned banana republic in the Caribbean during the time of the Cold War.

“We’re excited to expand into the North American market with a well-known and respected PC franchise,” said Simon Hellwig, Managing Director, Kalypso Media. “With a talented development team providing a fresh, creative approach to this fan favorite, we’re confident that Tropico 3 will hit the mark this September.”

As in the original Tropico, players assume control of every aspect of island life, deciding whether to unleash the army to secure their power base or lead their people to prosperity as a generous elder statesman.
