Odd graphics bug.. horizontal lines
It must be an anti aliasing thing but I've been playing with the settings and can't figure it out. I have 2 2600 xt's, windows xp, and plenty of ram. This bug doesn't occur in any other games. This occured before and after updating the video card drivers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try disabling crossfire and/or enabling vsync.

Thanks for the response.

Here it is with crossfire off and Vsync on.

Doesn't seem to have made any difference.
ETA - Tropico 3 runs fine for me. I've played with all the in game graphics settings and nothing seems to make any difference.

If I change resolutions a couple times the lines go away but it still looks like absolute dookie. It seems like whatever limits view distance isn't working at all

It looks like a GPU issue ... and Tropico 3 uses a slightly different rendering setup from what I can see (specifically, the shaders).

It could be a heat issue, or something else GPU related. If drivers didn't fix it, I really can't recommend anything else, sorry.

EDIT: It's interesting to note that the error doesn't impact the GUI.

The card that is running atm is at 49c. I don't have this issue with anything else and I play tons of different games. Sad

It also shows the background to the main menu perfectly. I assume that's rendered. It's only when I actually try to play the game that things get wonky.

Thanks for your suggestions. I've been looking forward to getting this for too long to give up easily.

Just an update I uninstalled and reinstalled the game (steam) and most of the issues went away.

Although not so distant objects still appear to be very blocky.

Sounds like LOD (Level of Detail) things are failing, which still raises the drivers/GPUs as being the issue.

I think you are right. I guess it's finally time to pony up for a new video card. It's playable as it is now but I can't wait to see it looking nice.

Thanks for the help Wink
