The fusions are incredibly good at low-powered stuff. I got the joy of playing with one. However, anything that requires a serious amount of processing and spans multiple threads deadlocked everywhere. Now, maybe it's just the code (I got one of my multithread apps running on one without a problem?), but it's more likely to be the demand exceeds the minimum (pushing the performance up) but that it's getting throttled due to the heat of the CPU and GPU in the same chip.

The problem is that places like Best Buy (for you guys) and local stores for the rest of us, push these units as cheap replacements for real systems. We saw this (at least here) with ultraportables like the EEEPC, and the rage was incredible.

For anything that has a "range", take the lowest number and calculate off that. The "boost" isn't stable for anything.
