Has anyone had any problems whit ageing population?

Years of immigration and baby boom my islands population growed fast, but after i stopped immigration the growth slowed but didn't stop because the babies. After many years almost every woman had the maximum amount of children. Population growth almost stopped completely.

Age group 0-12 dropped from 245 to 145. 50-64 rosed to 234 and retirees to 51.

Year 2000:

Poulation: 915

0-12: 145 - 16% (24% in 1973)

13-29: 296 - 32%

30-49: 189 - 21%

50-64: 234 - 26%

Retirees:51 - 5%

did you have same sex marriage edict? that one slows birth rates, cause not as many familes able to have kids

birth control ban? Hospital set to obstertics? with out these active the population growth slows. It looks like you are still to far away from the cap before that code steps in and slows your growth.

it also looks like you have a pretty large chunk that are still young. so perhaps people were not getting married and having as many kids yet

As i said i believe that the amount of babies dropped because many woman had the maximum amount of children and new mothers didn't come fast enough.

birth control is under interior. Your issue seems odd though. By the time the year 2000 rolls around, at that point i'm typically wishing i had less babies. Cause i don't want to just make jobs to make jobs, but if i don't i end up with tons of unemployed.

give birth control ban a try. that combined with hosptiols you will definatly have a baby boom
