Money or Building material, which one do be preferred?
As we can see, the construction of any building in Tropico needs money. As I know from Grand Ages Rome, the construction just depends on building material (woods, stone,...).

So how do you think if the way in GAR can be applied in Tropico? Does it sound better? We had logcamps already, now just need stone mines...

Presumably the building materials and machinery are imported "invisibly" when you pay for them.

Or perhaps your construction offices contain a supply of regularly replenished building materials which are regularly replenished by imports and the fact you're only charged for them when you use them works as a subtle nod to accounting procedures for materials, in that they are only registered as a cost when they're used.

i started a thread about an expansion, that adds many of the GAR aspects..

Navel presence, and combat..

Along with having to use wood, iron, stone. I think it really would add a lot to the game, as having to clear cut forests would anger the evironmentalists.. Or importing everything would displease the capitalists by sqaundering all the money when everything they need is right on the island.

But yes.. i really think that adding lumber/iron/stone would add much depth to the game, especially the way factions could be intergrated.
