An update patching Tropico 4 to version 1.05 is available.

FWIW. Just updated to 1.05 and now my secret agents look like miners. I guess they are literally deep undercover? Also not sure why the mine upgrade dialog displays 0% increase in iron production for the separator and crusher options.

It seems to be a 1.05 bug to me - patch 1.05 is not available for Polish version. Launcher updates the game only to 1.03 version.

When i upgrade my mines it tells me i get a 0% increase for the crusher/separator.

I don't know if its me but i made my own level and the game starts with the player having mult(5) fishing docks, (3)mines, and (6)apt buildings(very communism starting based) but in less then 1 game year if let run on its own the Russian approval drops.

In fact I've noted that all global powers views jump massively in short time frames. I don't know if this is a bug or if i'm missing something

If possible(if not already done, if done can someone help me) make a buffer where the player has 2-5years to establish an economy before the Superpowers being weighing there opinions on you. It seems where id have 100% Russian approval then make 2 canneries and i drop to 15% and pending invasion.

Same here. After I was upgraded by Steam to Version 1.05, my crusher and separator don't give me the iron bonuses. Soon to be resolved I hope. They are still 0% bonus even after the Modern Times expansion install.

"Organic Ranch" description in Modern Times expansion seems to be incorrect. It states that there are "work modes" but you can't change anything and it is not clear what type of meat it actually produces.

my pc got crashed while playing classic campaign :/

I have just installed Modern Times, started the first scenario with 'Plantador', 'Constructor' and 'Scholar' traits [the first two traits are from the DLCs]. I had to save the game after about 30mins gameplay....
I now cannot load the game I saved - I get an error message about me not having the right DLC content which made me look for the extra missions/content from the DLCs.
All of my DLCs bar one have been wiped from the game!
I cannot even remember where my codes are!
I have bought _all_ of the DLCs!

Surely the Kalypso Media Launcher should recognise my purchases of all of the DLCs especially as I have played all of the extra scenarios?

Re-entering the DLC codes does not unlock them....

I have the boxed editions of Tropico 4 Special Edition and Modern Times; I bought Plantador from the Kalypso launcher but bought Constructor and Plantador from Gamers Gate. I reiterate that all DLCs worked perfectly well before I installed patch 1.05+Modern Times. I have also emailed Kalypso support and am waiting for a reply..... Thanks for any help

Following the patch, my login info was wiped from the launcher and my graphics options all reset to low - a similar thing might have happened to your DLC.
Otherwise, I'm just confirming the secret agent/miner bug - it wouldn't be so bad if they weren't supposed to be disguised as barmaids...

On the Keep Calm and Carry On mission in the Modern Times campaign, an army base guy asked me to issue a tax cut. When I did, the tax cut request never went away from my objectives section. I tried another two times and it still never went away. I'm playing the Steam version.

When I make custom avatar, the hair part is abnormal.

It looks just fix in one site, so when my avatars move their head, hair disappear into head.

The chinese immigration edict works, but doesn't necessarily complete the spontaneous side-mission for it. It stays there in the task list and asks me to complete it even if has been done already.

Zoo visitors, after entering the building adjacent to the cage with zebras, proceed to the bird cage, going straight through couple other cages, ignoring fences etc.

Hey, the unplaceable road problem still continues on 1.05 patch.... when I select "road", the cursor doesn't show a road, there's nothing to place and the "play" button doesn't works.

Any workaround for this at least?

Update: Oh, I think this problem happens because I'm using Windows 2008 Server. I've tried on a computer with Windows 7 and there's no bug.

Have you guys been experiancing and immense amount of lag on random times during playing the game after the patch? After the new patch. The game will run smooth then on random the game will become extremely laggy for a while.

my problem is after i i start the game after i typed in the e mail and password and click continue and after i clicked play tropico 4 the screen fades to black and then the games stops and i get sent back to the desktop and this message pops up to me

" Tropico 4 has stoped working a problem caused the program stopped working properly. The program will be closed and you will be notified if a solution is available"

and thats the problem please reply as soon as you can i pay 257 norwegian crowns on this and i worked hard to earn all that money so please help me

Try uninstalling and reinstalling

I have the same problem, but weirder. If I put a Secret Agent in a Restaurant, the icon is a Miner, but when I actually SEE the Agent, he or she) is a proper Cook.

This same problem is happening to me, but I actually think it makes all three at once, plus Smoked Beef.

After I passed one thousand forty citizens, I had the same exact problem. The lag is brutal.

Here a list of the bugs i've found:

If a zoo worker want to visit the zoo just after he finishes his work, he will never go out of the zoo and get stuck inside it until the zoo is demolished. While being stuck the zoo worker can't do anything, including dying. (one of my zoo worker is 140 years old)
Also, some farmers get stuck inside their farm. (these bugs were present in 1.03)

Tropicans can use doors that they are not supposed to use. For example they can enter the garage by the car entrance or they leave the zoo by the door of zoo worker office(then walk through the wall to go to their next destination).

Tourists can not take the boat to go to the Luxury Liner. You can see tourists on the Luxury Liner, but when you select one of them in the list of tourist currently visiting it, tourists are at their hotel if Luxury Liner is the first attraction they visit, else they are moonwalking on the island.

I want to say that is a bug when i use ATI Catalyst Control Center whit activitated options like AA, etc ..

The threes was like a big awfull pixel,then i checked off the options of the CCC and everything return to normal .

I've read a few replys on this bug and this solution works fine for me so

I am not english so i hope that my words are understable .

Bahamas-born Tropicans do not have any flag displayed next to their name in the info panel.

i have tryed 15 times and it still dosent work and just so you know i have the steam special edition

1. Penultimo replaces antonio lopez's picture for stock market opportunities
2. Sunny Flowers, Antonio Lopez, General Rodriguez, and Penultimo -- they all their new voices are all high pitched
3. My military Junta DLC is missing after the game auto detected for DLC 6 times in a row!
4. Secret agents now have male miner models
5. Iron Mine upgrade now offers 0% increase in production
6. Dock Workers carry a limit of 1500 resources of load per shift in Modern Times Campaign, and in normal they carry up to 5000...
7. Teamsters instantly transport goods via metro and if placed near bio farms then near a dock... instantly overwhelm the dock up to 200,000 resources...
8. Roads if built to small now are INDESTRUCTIBLE!?
9. The Zoo fences are literally don't work (tropicans walk through fences)
10. Tropican use garage entrance rather than doors...
11. some roads if built on Isla Oscura mission 8 will not be able to be destroyed
12. income for people who work in offices can not be manually changed
13. Fertilize! edict does nothing to the island... evidence? production of bio farm/plantation was at 600 on yellor territory> Fertilize!> 3 years later> still yellow territory, production still at 600
14. gamesplanet.com does not send a redeem code for kalypso launcher...

I spotted a bug which I hope the developers fix soon. By the way, I have Modern Times installed too.

In the 3rd or 4th main mission (Not Modern Times mission), Miss Pineapple told me to build the Telecom HQ. But the problem is, the Telecom HQ building is not offered in the main campaign, only in Modern Times.

Hope the developers will fix this soon.

I believe I have found a bug.

I am currently playing through the final mission of Modern Times. There was a prompt to choose between four methods to deal with the "frog problem" (no spoilers =P). I chose the option where you have to have 12 SWAT officers. However, the game refuses to count my SWAT officers and it is stuck at 0. I have two SWAT headquarters and an upgraded palace and the mission objective indicates that I have 0/12. I looked at the job employment list in the almanac and it indicated that I have 15 SWAT members employed, i.e. clearly over the 12 needed and definitely over 0. Is there is a way to resolve this? I would rather not restart the mission. =(

Just noticed my female secret agents portraits look just like male miners I find it disturbing to see female with mustache....

And another bug is that i found out that some of my tropican had parent on family tree younger than himself...

- the boat that delivers people to luxury liner "swims" trough land...
