Chazson, please calm down. Getting angry isn't helping you here and it's bad for your health as well. (you know, slamming fists in the wall hurt your fist more as the wall. Slamming your fist in your monitor hurst your fist ànd your wallet.)
You're partially right in this matter, but give Kalypso some credit as well.
It's true it's said the release of PR3 was planned for Q2, 2012. However, it said no-where it was the international / world wide release. Because it said q2, 2012, you assumed the game would be internationally released that day.
Fact is, the game is going to be released at may 4th at Steam and in Germany. Which is actually Q2, 2012.
So you're right. Perhaps Kalypso should have mentioned earlier to us that the
international release is set (postponed) to early september 2012.
On the other hand, look at it from the bright side: If there are any bugs left after beta-testing, the German players most likely will find and report them. Meaning the international members here get a better game or a ready-to-download patch when their version is ready.
As for P4;
yes, Ascaron was developing the game when they went bankrupt. Fortunately for all of us, Kalypso was prepared to buy the old franchise as well as helping several former Ascaron employees to start Gaming Minds and to finish P4. So, in a way, P4 is still an Ascaron game, just as PR3 will be, because the core of employees is part of both Ascaron and GM.
I know from first hand that the Sacred Franchise got sold to Deep Silver and the fans of that game are in Deep S. The reason for it is that DS spend just enough resources to give the former Ascaron-employees the time to create a patch and a hotfix. After that the game basicly got abandoned, although the MP servers were on-line up to march this year. There has been no news from DS to the Sacred Fans, there hasn't been a community manager there for quite some time and other than telling that a Sacred 3 will be develloped, no other news has been brought out.
So when it comes to feedback to their community and being a true heir to the Ascaron Legacy, it's my opinion that Kalypso is doing quite the better job.
Despite their occasional communication error.
