1. No way to set race strategy
2. No way to copy setup automatically from one car to another
3. Lap times not realistic at all
4. Tear compound little effect on lap time
5. No driver feedback other than "bumpy track."
6. No qualifying I.e grid positions no q1 q2 or q3
7. No way to view summary of test sessions
8. No explanation of GUI symbols top right
9. No way to change race schedule order
10. No way to select your own driver and team logo mages in editor
11. Unreal team budgets
12. No way to select your own sponsor logos in editor
13. And loads more, making this worse than PP2010

I would say that baddest thing is that is no overtakes really.No infomation about gaps between formulas, just lap times.If you do 4 qualification time, u guarantee that will be in that position after race end.Just very bad race engine...

and in all, the game has a decent base, I'm still playing it and having some fun

furthermore just too bad that there are no records of previous races, only who won pfff

It was raining during Hockenheim gp...I switched tires to Rain B from Rain A (lasted about 15-20 laps)... Rain B worn out in just 4 laps and my both drivers retired. Not sure if it's a bug but I suppose Rain B should last longer than Rain A...

Should get remove all sub compounds ie, Soft A,B,C etc and just have Soft, Hard, Inters and Wets. In real life the compound is preslected so no team can run Soft A if Soft B was the overall choice, nver did understand why in PP2010 this was the way it was and now its the same in PP2012.

I honestly thourght that the improvements made between RTML and PP2010 wasn't huge but was a step in the right direction and that the next PP would be even better, i'm starting to think that the game engine isn't been changed in any way just the features added and some simple edits made here and there and released as a intirly new game which these changes could so easily have been released as DC for PP2010.

If you want a successfull F1 manager sim you need to invest time, realism, effort to get all info correct and much much more. You can't just throw a game out and say its a F1 sim if it doesn't work as it would be expected to as there are thousands of F1 fans who know the sport inside out and expect high levels of focus put into any game calling its self a F1 sim or F1 manager sim. So please before releasing any more PP games make sure you get the info correct and the game is going to please the hard core fans otherwise you will be quickly swamped by angry mobs and loose out on huge profts that this game could make.

Luke nailed it. Kalypso's attempt at this game was minimal. Feels like this game is still in development and they spent very little time play testing. If they played this game for a few hours they would see how flawed and broken it is. Why on earth they released a half finished game.. who knows.

I did a little test:

I had difficulties to edit driver and team skills in a way that they would show when racing. First of all I deleted all the special skills because those gave some drivers too big of an advantage. Then I figured that if AI is cheap (you notice it when all the good drivers doesn't get contract for the next season and are replaced by rookies) then they don't probably buy any of the good parts either. So I put all the weaker parts to my car and after that the game is more interesting. Now the field looks like it should be (no more winning with level 70 team when the best team is 88). I know that it's kinda stupid when one area of managment is researching etc. But it deffinently made game more interesting for me. Maybe I allow myself to but the parts I have researched and produced but not the stronger parts that suppliers offer. That way I have standard car (same level as AI probably has) which is just improved by few new parts during the season. I have played 5 races so far and winners are (my team is BMW (level 68), 13th team in my season, drivers Kubica (67) and Villeneuve (63), best drivers are level 88): Kubica (had the stronger parts for the first race and changed after that, there wasn't a big cap though), Hamilton 2 wins, Vettel and Button. I have total of 60 points for my team so far putting me 5th overall in team standings.

Also noticed that when you scroll down the information bar in the left you will find plenty of information about car condition etc. Tongue (hadn't noticed before)

I still wait for a new extensive patch. I'm getting little worried because we haven't heard anything from the Kalypso team for a while.

Finally some news...

Hallo,

um auf die Nachfragen zu antworten: Die Entwickler arbeiten aktuell noch an einem weiteren Patch. Wann dieser fertiggestellt sein wird, lässt sich aktuell jedoch noch nicht sagen.
