just purchased the plain T3 (no AP) via amazon.com. it starts as v. 1.02, and required two updates to 1.17. but i can't get past the intro movie. i've already tried deleting my entire C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Tropico 3 folder (i'm on winXP SP3). after doing so, it asks again for my serial#, which i enter. but still no luck. same problem of the intro movie going B&W and no menu, unresponsive to mouse clicks or pressing esc.

have tried uninstalling, double-checking to make sure both my install directory and the ...application data\tropico 3 folder, and re-installing. still no luck.
