I have bought the game in Steam, but there seems to be no patch there. Please make the updates available because I did not pay for the 4.0 version.

Was close to buying this via Steam but why hasnt the game been updated through it?

Ok. Now I can get to the Kalypso launcher from Steam and it tells me that there is patches available... but, after I write my account information and press continue it only gives me option to "play pole position 2012". So no update function still. Please make it work

The patch 4.2 should now also be available on Steam. It includes the previous patches.

Thanks, it works now. I hope to see these features in the next patch:

- Gaps in race (or alternatively driver names when you put mouse over them)
- Race information (results, gaps, fastest laps, retirements etc.)
- Pitstop strategy
- Current qualification system (Q1,Q2,Q3)

hello. I apologize for my bad English. I bought the game on steam, but the game crashes after the first minute and does not update. I ask for help

How do I get the patch to 4.2 please?

I've downloaded the mac version from steam and it will not open the icon just bounces up and down at bottom of screen. any one any ideas?

Yeah same here. The Kalypso launcher starts saying that the updates are available but it doesnt look like it's updated my game.

If you have bought your game from Steam you should go to steam and it will update it in there automatically (automatic updates must be enabled). Launcher doesn't update the game for Steam users.

I don't understand your question but 3.5 is the orginal version and the 4.2 is the newest. You should see the current version in the main menu. Steam only updates the game when you log in to the steam trough steam icon (not from the game icon) Steam starts the update immidiately and you can follow the progress from an install bar.

After the steam installation, on the right of the luncher there is this: 3.5.1.43663 (it's the version of the game. So, is this the game version after the last update (4.2)?

I purchased pole position 2012 via steam, mac version, but the game don´t start.

I'm running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3. Is there any issue with the mac version?

There are a few people having a problem with the mac version. Sorry to say you will prob have to wait until Kalypso get back into work Monday....

I have the 4.2 version but I noticed that the version shown in launcher is 3.5 though...but I know that it's the 4.2 version now because of the features in the game... just check if you have the promised fixes.

I noticed that people have some freezing problems... I haven't had those problems yet. First when I updated the game to 4.2 it didn't start at all (freezed to little screen that pops up first). Then I went to Steam and right clicked the game-->properties-->local files-->make whole/unify/harmonize (not sure of the english word) cache files...and after that it worked.

The steam version is properly patched but there is a buf that the launcher still shows version 3.5... All content is updated nonetheless.

We are investigating the crashes with the steam PC and MAC version.

I've already solved my issue. It was a permission problem. You have to find the steam folder in the Library and change the permissions with batchmod, and check the "apply to enclosed folders and files" and the "unlock" option.

I'm running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3

Bought this game yesterday from steam and have played under 15 min total.. It freezes in couple secs/mins and the version btw still seems to be 3.5 .Steam just dont update it even its on automatic.
Using win7 64.

Does anyone know is there a possibility to modify game files if you have bought your game from Steam? Would be useful if you want to use mods

Excuse me if I doubt your word. Please give me a positive and negative indication that I can check which will demonstrate that I am seeing 4.2 instead of 3.5.1.43663.
I've never heard of a config control system that tracks updates to major, minor, sub and build level but which mis-reports its release version.

I just bought this game om steam, but i wount lauch. Is there any issues on mac?
