Mb it's like the guide for the game Pole Position 2012

The people talk about the difficulties of financial and technical models of the game.

But i'm sure that all most be easy. I'll show you that the target: not go to the bankrupt in the first season and be a real force for the next year - it is quite possible.

I planned an interesting experiment. And I want to tell you about it.

So... We take the "Pole Position 2012"

We open the editor and create the own team with the following parameters:

Name, Base, Director - optional

Cash - 0 (o yeah)
Strength - 0 (the number of stars)
Fans - 0

At Start (1 january 2012) we haven't pilots, staff and etc.
Unfortunately we can't start without buildings and techs and we must choise one of this.

The futile fan-shop and the start technology are our choise.

One would think that the situation is hopeless and we will not have a car for the start of the season and the collapse - is inevitable.

I'm going to prove the opposite without the cheating!

So let's begin

To start let's talk about tools that help me in the experiment.

These are: one pen, one notebook, two cans of cola, one pizza, one free evening and of course - Pole Position 2012. Version of the game is steam, with updates, adds a real team names and drivers. Added own team starts without money, reputation, and fans but we had finished the fan-shop and the start technology.

Because at the start, we need to do a lot of things, I decided to organize a story about the experiment like the diary.

So

day 1
01/01/2012

To begin, we're going to hire drivers. Of course only the worst of them agree to play for our team. So I thought. In fact, all is not so bad.

Meet:

Adrian Sutil, Nelson Piquet Jr. They are the best of free drivers. We offer them a variety of bonuses for winning the championship and races to save our money on their salary. Racers sign a contract under the following conditions. It is guaranteed.

Pilots:
Adrian Sutil
Salary: 100K
Bonus for the championship: 750K
Bonus for a win: 100K

Nelson Piquet
Salary: 90K
Bonus for the championship: 750K
Bonus for a win: 50K

Don't forget to switch on the immediate transfer. Of course, we restrict ourselves to the signing only two drivers, as we don't have a money

Now we proceed to staff recruitment:
We find this in the job market: (all specialists had one bulb / hammer, etc.)
10 designers - all are hired
4 technics - don't take anyone
6 office staff - we take all
5 coaches - four are signed
6 race engineers - don't take
3 fan service - one is signed
6 pit crew - thanks, we don't need


At first, who is the most important people in the team? There are... office workers of course. Their main priority is signing sponsorship contracts. And we can't survive without sponsors.

In this case sponsors absolutely don't wont to put their logo on our spoiler, what is more, they full refuse to talk to someone unknown.

I conducted research which found that we need 306 man-days to sign an agreement with the first sponsor. Here I present a summary on the first 4 companies.

So, we nessesary need to sign one fatty sponsor like the Nikita or the CPU before the start of the season.
Let's divide 406 to 6 employees. It is 67.5 days. Hooray, we have this time.
But we don't get to use 456 work days, with 6 employees up to 12 March.
So we are working with Nikita for the full program, and all new staff (yes! we need EVERY DAY to come to the job market to find suitable staff) we send to work on other projects.

We learned a lot about the sponsors now we can do research.
I have decided to postpone the development of ours own aerodynamics until the next season, and now we are investing in the passive optimization. 10 designers promise to finish it after 36 days and the same number of thousand dollars.

But we also need to give the work to coaches.
I sent coaches to teach drivers the passing of turns. We have two whistles on each driver.

Finally, under the evening of this turbulent day, we are going to our shop to fix prices. To be honest, I was always too lazy to engaged these. In this I put the price of 2-3 dollars above cost. That's it.

You can press on January 2 and look who of the staff came to us ... You ask: But what about cars, parts, engines? And they now will wait)

Day 2 01/02/2012
The letter came with the news about formation of the first ours fan club. Hooray, it will be someone who we can sell towels, hats and umbrellas.
By the way, 200 units of each product arrived mysteriously in the merchandise inventory, right after this. In addition of the icons. For some reason they were arrived only 100. But we spend 4200 dollars. Now we are in the red (-40K). But it isn't yet time to despair )

day 4
Someone bought our first two flags. Obviously they were collectors of rarities. In fact should be to stay anything from our team in March)

day 9
Now we have two fan-clubs and -7 flags. Yet we sold anything more.

day 11
The job market showed up PitCrew with three stars, we take it to raise the jack at pit-stops. Anyway the the pit stop's time remains catastrophic, and we still haven't a car, to raising.

day 23
We take the four's our fan-club, and flags fly away like hotcakes )
Selling posters and T-shirts started well. The day before we hired a office staff (3 stars) and today we have signed a designer (3 bulb). Life is getting better. The staff went to lunch at Burger King ... for three months

day 25
What is especially important? Every day we going to the unemployment office. We hired another three-star office staff. Now they will be together at the Burgers in a fun)

day 32
02/01/2012
Nothing happened for a week, except for the opening of the fan club number 5. We can draw some conclusions of the month:

We have:
Drivers: Piquet and Sutil.
A team of designers at 13 flasks.
Office plankton: 12 pieces
4 coaches and 5 fan-clubs.

We still haven't a car, engines, and sponsors, and we have a debt-to 39K. =)
But we still decide to wait with a loan.

I'm happy to inform you that:
Yesterday evening my experiment ended essentially in complete failure.

As I said, I was going to survive in the first season and do my team a real force in year 2013.

But the financial and technical model of the game was broken without any cheating. There is middle of a FIRST season now in my save, and my team is fighting with McLaren in the constructors' cup for the third place.

Prize money will be enough to do a calm finish of the season. As well we're in process of building a research and training center. They will be finished until January 2013.

In this moment (june 2012) 20 office staffs are picketing the building of "SUN Television" and next year I'll get one of the biggest sponsors of the game. And I allowed myself to buy a personal compact car.
