there is a weird bug when purchasing ships... if there are two ships to purchase and you cycle through them it will often go erratic, and jump back to the first ship without you doing anything.

then i cycle back to the ship i wanted and randomly it will jump back to the first ship... have to be very quick to hit "buy" at the right time before it jumps

i have a serious problem after 10 minutes my monitor goes dark pink and then it goes black i can hear the game music but cant see anything , and every time this happens i need to restart my computer please help

PC Specs:

ATI Radeon HD4670
AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+, 2900 Mhz (Dual-Core Optimizer is installed)
4 GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate x64-bit

@FROSTSIX - do you have 3D enabled on your Graphics card - it should be set to something like - let the application decide - that may be teh cause of your problem.

C'mon using 1.1.24450 if im right and still many times it goes in a loop when entering / leaving a town and force the game to stop. when is there a new patch fixing this.

Not sure - it isn't something I use but here a llink to manual and ir seems like it's on a slider under standard settings.

i think i fixed it by disabling AMD Overdrive no more black screen and freezing when enternig a city Big Grin (but on the free mod, only 15 minutes played on the camping mode)

There's a separate thread for this, but I wanted to mention the bug that several people have encountered where time freezes and ships stop moving, no matter what action you take. Even quitting the game and loading the save up again does not fix this, you have to go back to an earlier save where the problem might not have happened yet.

Not sure if I would call this a bug, or what. But my video card throttles up something fierce when im in the city view. It’s getting pretty annoying. I cant imagine that screen is taxing my gtx580 3gb….

Anyone else experience this?

BUGS:

1.I found that sometimes (or all the time, don't remember) after a battle, we can not use the mouse to move the camera (by moving the mouse to the edge of the game window)

2.the "tab button" of pop up windows in town ( e.g. the inn) allow you to click an already selected tab. In this case all tab will be in "normal state" visually.

?.Please disable the [SPACE] acceleration hot key in Multiplayer game.

Wonder:

Why is there so many good things/designs removed from PR2. The new GUI design is realy bad when compared to PR2.
It became very inconvenient in many cases especially the trade buttons replaced by slider which require a careful mouse dragging every time i buy/sell things.

The ppl in town no longer say how they feel about the player.

Why is the flags removed from the ships in world map and I need to mouse over the ship to see them!!??
Sometimes i don't even know if a pirate is around.
At least you give me a black sail on the texture of the ship.

I can see you ppl try to make things clean by hiding many UIs but that would make players very frustrated and tired. Too many clicks to get what i want!
(you may not know this because you may not have play this game few hours a day like we do, we are big fans of port royale I&II but not III)

The controls, fix them plz!!!

Forgot to mention, I could not disable the video (tell me about my new rank) even i set them off in the game setting.

It play the video on screen when I am doing a battle! WTF!!

Yes! That happened to me too and I wasn't sure what caused it. I had to exit the game and start it up again to fix it.

I think I found a bug involving Fruit sell price.

During the trade campaign mission to supply 300 food to Cayman, I found that despite being in famine the caymanites were quite fussy about supplying them too much food of a single type, so that I can onyl sell so much grain, corn, bread, etc before their buy price becomes lower than what I paid for it. But I didnt want to wait so I started oversupplying just so I can get this mission done and thats when I noticed that all the foods buy prices dropped except fruit! I could bu tons of fruit from Grand Bahama at 60, and then go to Cayman and sell it all for 60 too, no limit. Meaning I never took a loss oversupplying them with Fruit.

The issue with the non-working Autosave feature can currently be fixed by not loading a savegame from the main menu but instead starting a new game (campaign or free play) and then loading your saved game. This will restore autosaving. The issue is identified and will be fixed in an upcoming patch.

Hi!

Bought the game from steam a couple of days ago.

My problem is that the game freezes.I can start it and load my campagin. I hear the sound, but no time is running and neither is any ships. I tried to load autosaves with the same result. I started a new free campaign with the same result. Just a few minutes ago... I started a trading campaign. It froze at first, but then started and ships are running. I loaded any of my saves and it doesn't work.

Now... i have no interest in starting over... but in any case.. I cannot with free play anyhow. What's up???

Edit:
Oh... I CAN start a new free campaign. But none of my saves seem to work. Not the two autosaves, nor the save I normally use.

Another strange thing is that this happened once before. I need just loaded last save and it worked.

I think that is a 'feature'. after you reach a certain rank the Dev's figured you no longer need the names. I have no clue why they thought it was a good idea to not give the player the option of toggling them back on.

To further on that I've had it happen as well when shifting in and out of the 'place building' interface when in town. Going into that interface (place building) seems to unstick it for both post-battle and in this case as well.

Possible glitch or just dopy user???
In the Adventurer campaign I have been told to attack Tampa to save the girl..... Im told the requirements for crew & weapons etc & I have met said requirements. Problem is that when I sail to Tampa there is no option to attack it??... I can enter the port as normal to trade etc but I cant see any way of launching a attack... has the game clitched & am I missing something????

When I enter a new city, I need to FIND a building...

I have a graphics bug and I only got this once I updated my graphic card drivers (ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series) if someone could tell me how to fix this I'd be very grateful as I just payed a lot of money for this game...
