When they say Senior they mean SENIOR, I have 140+ year olds walking about!! A more realisic old age might be a good idea, what was a good age to live to back in roman times? 60-70? 40 if a poor family?

Citizens upgrading houses, this really should be limited to the family wealth, not family wealth <10 lets live in a villa because we can mentality, yes surrounding buildings should influence the area but not force a family to up-grade their house if they can't afford it. Family Wealth <200 live in basic house husand and wife only. Family Wealth 201 - 300 live in next one up with a child, 301 - 400 upgrade and can have a OAP same with villa. That way only families that can afford a villa live in one. There will still be some that will turn to crime but when you have a large city at least you can spot a low grade house not doing so well in amongst the villas.

Protestors - citizen protesting about lack of temples to pray at, nevermind that said same citizen lived one house away from a temple, same goes for wine and bread, they can't seem to be bothered to cross the road to the vineyard/pub/market half the time, increase the effective area of a house and then the problem would be solved, let the lazy citizens walk a bit further than than 6 houses for work etc.

Maps with large rivers/sea area and no quays? Might as well be total land maps really (oh for an editor!!!!!!!!)

Aquaducts are just a pain, what is the point of wells if they aren't wells?

It's a shame a few seemingly stupid things ruin a really fun game, thats challenging and engrossing.

EDIT:- Well as mentioned elsewhere as this game is not possible to mod and will never have an (much needed) editor the community and game has died a rather quick death, a 'snow themed company' had the right idea on modding and how long and popular is D2 now-a-days? years old and still being bought I bet the same won't be said of this game. Shame in a way, imagine being able to make new buildings - cemetary anyone for theses 100+ year olds to go to finally, new maps - aquaducts actually reach places *shock*, it's not as if they are running a server to host multiplayer games on even just a poor decicing by the company not to allow these things.

Caesar IV is still alive in its community and forum, and that game has a small modding community. I bought this game online or $2.50 off of Impulse so I don't feel ripped off, but you are correct. Had I bought this game full retail (along with the full price of the expansions, which game with the bundle I bought) I would have been pissed.
