Trade fluyt should be an endgame ship but even if it was mentioned by a player that they do appear in Shipyards as you raise ranks at least I have not seen it for a long while. I used to find them a lot in the early stages when my rank was still low (well in the Holland Ports) but now I can't find any no matter how much I wait. Trade Fluyts are amazing for trading having a great upkeep-space and they should be available even later in game since the game.

Trade fluyt (800 barrel) are available in the Netherlands
fluyt (500 barrel) disappear after a certain rank (xxx-admiral?)

Then there is something wrong with me? Only Carracks and rarely some smaller battleships appear. But I have literally fast forwarded 2 years in the port and none of the ships that appeared were Trade Fluyts. I am sure I am not doing it wrong since in the early stages I kept visiting that port and almost always there was a cheap Trading Fluyt for grabs.

you have to look consistently at least every 2 weeks to not miss an offer

Ok you were right, I stayed inside the Buy tab and fast forwarded the game and one appeared in 1 month. Usually Corvettes, Frigates and Carracks appear unlike before where the Trade Fluyts would appear more recently. Anyway thank you a lot Falko

we can get Trade Fluyte and Fluyte only between 1570-1573 , i mean for a certain years form we start the game only :O ?

Thats not what he said. He said he got 4 trade fluyts in them years. He didnt say you only get them in them years.

ohh kk.. thanku, but one question, y those docks only buy/sell ships? y dont the big shipyards built ships ? if we can order certain ship and they build in some x no of days and deliver us.. kindaf feature ll be more exciting isint'it

i play with 0.1 i did not reached the year 1574
if i remember correctly i got the final rank in 1571

you cant order/build ships
you can build a bog shipyard in towns where you have 99%popularity and a building licence
in my experience a shipyard in a "normal" town (no viceroy or governor) the probability for an offer is 1/3 of the shipyard in a viceroy/governor town

yea i know we cannot order/built ships, but if there is such a feature,it'll be more exciting ! and thanks for the info

btw, what is the point of building a big shipyard in your own town?? you will not find ships for sale there :|

To be able to sell ships youve captured if your near that shipyard/town, rather than sailing far away to a normal town that has a large shipyard...?

There maybe better prices given at your own town, but this i havnt checked.

Fortunis has a point there! But will you check if there is a price atvantage? I can't, bcause i don't possess my own town yet.

ah, correct. Still, I don't find it very useful. Constructing or being able to buy other ships(random nation specific), would be more appropriate.

but buying offers a not as often as in the viceroy or governor cities

I checked about price differences and there isnt any at all. doesnt matter if reputation with town is 0% or 100% or if its your town or not

Not that it makes any difference, because if there was a difference it would be so tiny in scale of everything.

if i take over a city and build Manor then that town is concidered as Viceroy city for ships appearance calculations ?

i got a doubt,i started the game and its more than 3 to 4 ingame years passed, the problem is, i couldn't able to find pinnace,barc,sloop in any shipyards. please help, i always love to collect and make individual ship type convoys . but only big ships like war galleon,caravel,liner,military frigate ect are available for buy in shipyard. i doubt maybe small type ships never showup in shipyard after we get richer or sme years passed or something? anyclue ??/

your rank determines what ships become available. im guessing after 3-4 years, your several ranks up. the ships you want are probably only available on the first 2-3 ranks.

AND yes i know its a bad design. all ships no matter their size should be available throughout the game but need to make it so that larger ships are rare and more costly than they are now. 200k for a liner is peanuts in comparison to the amount of money a player can make. Where as the small ships should be many. It seems the guys at kalypso have problems understanding balance tbh, or at least they didnt understand for release and they are using us as beta testers. PR3 maybe a smart, balanced game after 6months from release, but i wont hold my breath. For now its way off the mark.
