How does this compare:
To Gemini wars?
http://geminiwars.camel101.com/
I'm not sure if anyone is aware of this game, but it's also seems to be a bit of a Sins inspired game. It looks interesting, and the combat seems quite fluid.

I know that LoP will have configurrable ships (which I really like BTW), I'm just wondering what really differentiats the 2 games.

RE: How does this compare:
It seems that the main point of difference between Gemini Wars and Legends of Pegasus may be size and wealth of features.

- Gemini Wars has a 16 mission campaign in which you only play one faction, Legends of Pegasus has a 40 hour campaign in which you play all three main races.
- Matches in Gemini Wars take place in one or a few star systems, galaxies in Legends of Pegasus can have more than 60 star systems.
- Gemini Wars has three very defined races, Legends of Pegasus lets you define your own faction with the ancestry and bonus tech tree system.
- Gemini Wars has 1 hour of professional voice acting, Legends of Pegasus has more than 5 hours
- Gemini Wars has 27 pre-defined ships, Legends of Pegasus lets you create your own ships.

That said, Gemini Wars does also look pretty cool and of course we wish Camel 101 all the best for their game. There can never be enough good 4X games, eh? ;-)

RE: How does this compare:
Oh I don't think BobbyDylan purely wanted to advertise Gemini Wars. There would be simpler ways to do that. And it is always a good thing to have a look at competitors and see what they do different.

As said, we do not fear the competition. We think we have a strong product with Legends of Pegasus and we don't mind others having a little success as well because we really like the genre (as you may know, Kalypso was also the european publisher for Sins of a Solar Empire). It would be best if you all just bought all the games in the genre! :-)

Nonono... I'm not involved in Gemini wars at all. If anyone on here doesn;t know if it, and I've introduced them, that';s great, but it's not why I asked.

I' just seem to know more of Gemini Wars, than I do of LoP and I was wondering what the fundimental differances. Like you guys say, this one will be more of a propper 4X, while GW seems more of a S-RTS.

RE: How does this compare:
Haha! That campaign thing is a bit tricky. :-)

There will be one big campaign but it is split into three parts. First, you play as the humans, then as the X'or and finally as the Arthrox. BUT: You will stay with the same main character Jonathan Daniels as he goes from race to race.

Eh. So long as it works as a campaign/story mechanic, I'm fine with it.

Oh, Daniels is by far not a traitor! The story is more complex than that. You will see how it all comes together when you play the game.

You most likely enjoyed the Avatar story too.
