Question Yet more questions...
Hello all.

I found this game a few days ago and now I'we prettymuch seen everything published about it (wich is not much btw) and can't help but get a lot excited about it. Smile
So a few questions that are close to my heart, when it comes to 4x space-games:

1)Scalability. I assume from the announcement that 3 campaings and 40 hour playtime, that you assume one playtrough to be around 10-20 hours.
-How much bigger/longer can one make a game? In terms of MOO3 and SE5 upto 100+hrs playtrough, or more along the lines of GC2 and civ5 upto 30 hrs playtrough. Phossibly less?

2)Range and/or support. Will your movement be restricted and in what way?
-Will there be range for given engine system, supplies or fuel or perhaps another way of restricting movement?

3)How empty will your space be?
-In MOO:s and ES you will eventually colonize each and every planet and starsystems with no planets dont exist or are extremely rare. As you move through strings there is no playable "empty space". In GC2 howewer
There are both empty space and systems you wont be able to colonize ever. As i understand you will have empty space within the systems but what kind of presentage can we assume to utilize troughout the game?

And sorry for the bad english, I hope you can decrypt it Cool

Thank you for any answers you can provide.

I agree empty space is important. Their is no where to hide in space. But it is a good place to gather forces and threaten an area without actually attacking it.

RE: Yet more questions...
Hello there!

Thank you very much for your interest in Legends of Pegasus. Let me answer your questions to the best of my knowledge:

1. The 40 hour playthrough does only relate to the campaign. And it means that one playthrough of the campaign takes you about 40 hours. In the campaign, you first play as the humand, then as the X'or and then as the Arthrox as the story develops. But you will stay with the main character Jonathan Daniels as he goes from race to race. And no, he is not a traitor. You will see how that unfolds when you play the game. :-)
The free play or multiplayer games can be extended to your liking by customizing the size of the galaxy, the length of a strategic turn etc. , etc. You can also have very quick matches with high technology levels and only a few systems.

2. Range restriction is currently not in the game.

3. As all systems are randomly created, there will be some systems that do not have colonizeable planets such as gas planets. Also your ships can freely explore each system and you will have to gather resources in the asteroid fields of each system. You can also use the "empty" space of each system to build sensors, space stations, weapon platforms, etc.

Many greetings,
Chhris
