Hello All,For the life of me i cannot make a ship an escort have followed instructions in the manual but am going around in circles.

Hi al52,

First of all you need at least one upgraded ship in your convoi - the upgrade can be done in the shipyard.
Choose your convoi so that you can see it on the right. Open the ship-list by clicking the left of the four round buttons => you can see your ships. Every upgraded ship will show a little cannon in the upper left corner.

Solution one
Clicking the little cannon activates (or inactivates) the ship to be an escort.
Solution two
Click on an upgraded ship and you will see the details of this ship above. Between the details and the round buttons there is a new option were you can activate (or inactivate) the ship to be an escort.

Don't forget to hire a crew in the tavern.
