RE: Just wasted close to an hour hunting for missions
I'm assuming you're stuck in a position where you only have building priviliges in very few cities, and need higher reputation to get more licenses.
My solution to this problem was to get building priviliges in several cities over a short period of time, as soon as I got my reputation with a nation high enough. Of course, you need enough money to pay for the two licenses and the initial three buildings per city (plus the building materials), but it did work for me quite nicely. That way, you can make a lot of money (and get your reputation much higher) pretty fast by doing building missions on those cities (plus milk runs for the building materials and raw materials), and you get to keep the goods and either sell them or use them as raw materials for your other businesses (either in the same city or in others).
Having that said, I do agree with you that this entire game feels like a very early and shaky beta release, including for the reasons you specified, among others. Seems to me that Kalypso got cheap and greedy, so they planned to have us buy the game and have us beta test it for them after we paid for it, figuring we're already screwed and got nothing to lose, instead of the other way around. I never expect 100% bug-free releases, since I know it never happens, but this game is a record in my book. Not being an american myself, I often tend to complain about american corporations being greedy and cheap. This time, it seems that the germans have a few things to learn from the americans, like how to be professional game developers and not release a game before it's ready.

It's not a matter of believing you or not. We're all entitled to our own opinions about this, and you're not the only one who has a problem with those missions, except it seems we disagree about what exactly the problem is. I, for one, don't have a problem with the building materials issue you described on the thread you opened - I think it could be improved, but it should definitely remain an issue. On the other hand, the fact that we get so many building missions in cities we don't have building privileges in (and can't get them, either, due to low reputation), is just damn stupid.
You can keep posting vague and confusing replies, while calling anyone who doesn't agree with you "a fanboy", but you don't make much sense that way. If I hadn't read your other thread, I wouldn't have had a clue what you meant.
