Modern Times not installing correctlly
I bought Modern Times at Target about a week ago. After getting home I put the CD in and selected the autorun (I use Windows 7) it brought me to a set up which initialized and then I chose the default directory to install it in (/Tropico 4). The installation time was literally 2 seconds then after it finished it brought me to the CD entry. I typed it in and selected start only to find that Modern Times was not installed. I have tried reinstalling it (which doesn't do anything, also it never asks me to enter the CD Key) and Tropico 4 but nothing is working. I don't know if I am missing a step or if I just got a bad copy. Any help is appreciated!
EDIT: Thanks to Swixel it works!! If anyone else has this problem they only need to run as Administrator.

No, what I mean is you need to install tropico 4 and then you can install modern times and then you can play the game.
Modern times is not a stand alone game, it is an expansion pack.
I know, I just said I had Tropico 4 installed

Does that make any difference?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I was about to return the game but saw your post and tried it out, everything works perfectly now! Thanks Again
No problem
Nerdy note:
Kalypso's installer does the UAC thing properly, which is a huge problem for anyone who has their OS running insecurely. I know it's annoying, but it is there for a reason, and Linux users have had that behaviour forever(?) when it comes to admin commands (Apple users have at least had it for a long time, though I can't comment quite as far back for them). It's a combination of security and being informed: UAC pop-ups tell you something needs admin to be installed, or that it wants to be elevated. Yes, people can get around it, and break things, etc., etc., but I'd rather 70% of the things get over the wall (and I doubt it's that high) than not bothering to use it all -- that and I don't get these errors with installations

Thank you for this post, I'm planning on trying this but I am worried about loosing my challenges, I put a lot of time into the map. Do you know where the challenges are stored on the hard drive? I plan on uninstalling Tropico 4 and Modern Times and reinstalling. I'm concerned about loosing my challenges and I want to back them up before I uninstalling. Do you know where these are stored on the hard drive? By the way, I'm using Windows XP.
Thanks!
