Ya, I find myself talking to the announcer as well. LOL

Me: "Say what!?"
Announcer: "Cast an eye on Port Royal!"
Me: "I don't care 'bout Port Royal at the moment, I'm busy doing something else, get lost!"
Announcer: "Cast an eye on Caracas!"
Me: "Would you make up your freaking mind and quit bugging me!?"

At this point I usually just mute the bugger so I can listen to music in peace while playing the game.

I'm glad to see some humor in you guys!

We might think there are bugs in the game, but life is full of more bugs than PR3 .... case in point ;

1. Administrator ... incompetent boob (most politians).
2. Merchants rip us off ... (hmmm).
3. Old Ladies give us wrong directions!
4. Pirates supply us with cheap stuff.

I've seen tons of bugs / crashes / complaints threads... so i thougt making a new thread with a new topic might help the community. Instead of keep barging the devs, i prefer enjoying my stay here in the forum by posting those "craps" above ..

On the serious side of the matter then I think that how one comprehends and feels about the "voices" and thing in the game depends on how usefull it appear to be (to the player).

Personally hearing the Administrator: "There is something you could do for my city" , I have come to find rather annoying as they want one to build businesses in cities where one don't even have permition to build a warehouse and I really can not see where the hell I should get the money "to do something for them".

Even more annoying the "Psst. " information in the Tavern about the pirates hideout as it is utterly vague and completely useless (at least I think so).
Also both the old sailor wanting revenge and giving the location of a pirates fleet and the woman who lost her son (or man or whatever)(the overboard) is annoying as the "window of "opportunity" is too narrow and the (you find it) could possibly even be triggered only by the fleet given the task and not another - I don't know - I just know that I don't wanna pay for useless information and the tasks regarding the "revenge" and the "overboard" seems as a utter waste of time as one can sail to the position and sail around there all one wants but one will mostly be too late or maybe not find anything anyway (depending on case)...
So for me I am so annoyed with all this so every time the womans image appear in the tavern I try to see if I can click fast enough to make her shut up before she can get started ;-)
On the brighter side I very much like the business man who offer to sell me cheap goods in big bundles - but am so totally uninterested in the guy wanting to buy as he says he will pick it up in the warehouse and while he says that one can sell whatever quantity one wants then I have the suspicion that the idiot will vacuum my warehouse for all of that specific type of goods in it on that specific date . cause it seems very unclear to me how it really works (the window where the trader in the Tavern is offering to buy goods should come with a slider where one could set just how much the "idiot" where allowed to pick up of the specific type of goods on the specific date - that is the ability to "preset" how much of the goods one wants to commit to the deal - so I could freely set if I wants to commit to sell e.g. one single unit of the type of goods or one thousand units) ... - no I am not asking for help here - just commenting on the game....

while in the town another nation attacks and i am stuck there with my one ship for 3 weeks while the others are giggling and getting ahead it was funny .. not for me but for the other players

They OP commented in fun on how the OP felt about the voices and so on in the game and how the OP dealt with it...

What? Where?

Some random and meaningless message. That usually meant (in the early part of the game) something is after them. Yet whenever I check all of my convoys, I see nothing wrong. I'm 90%+ with 3 nations, and one is at like 40%. Pirates are too scared to attack my convoys. The only time it's been a "real" alert was when one of the NPC cities was being conquered by another nation and my convoy was trapped in the harbor. Sailed out unscathed once the city changed hands though.

There are lots of classes. If you are comfortable in the water, and no longer afraid, just go to some public pools and check out their classes.
You can take swimming lessons to work on form. after all we are here to help you don't hesitate to ask any question.

Once the person said something was wrong in Biloxi i thought it was nothing important but it turned IT WAS UNDER ATTACK the announcer is 100% useless
