I'd love to see some achievements for this game on the PC, i'm sure it would help persuade some people who would be on the fence in a store, trying to pick a game, and turn it around to see that it has achievements that contribute to your xboxlive account.

Unfortunately, Tropico 3 won't be a Games for Windows LIVE title (only GfW), and thus won't contribute achievements and gamerscore towards your gamertag.

The same achievements that are in the Xbox 360 version are also awarded on PC, but they remain inside the game, unlike the real GfW LIVE achievements which are tied to a common account across games.

This is a shame, but not the end of all.

I'm the sad one that plans to get it on both the Xbox & PC, mainly so I can play all the time, plus I can do my own reviews on both for Tropico3.co.uk

I think it's a good thing because frankly the Windows Live PC experience is just awful in my opinion.

I'm with Nose on this one.

From what I've experienced with Fallout 3 and GTA IV, the Windows Live is just a gimmick that tries to bridge the gap between Xbox and PC. Trying to create an account for it took ages, especially since I did not have a gamertag for Xbox live and all this.

But that's just coming from me, the the Pro-PC gamer with the anti current gen console attitude

I've been PC gaming for waaaaaaaay longer than console gaming, i've only played DOW2 on GFWL, but i've had XBL for 4 years, and had everything already setup. I still think it would be really nice.
