The tutorial doesn't seem very detailed so I wondered if someone can explain some things to me:

1. Why are there 40 drivers per race?
2. Why am I over 20 seconds off the pace? I picked red bull, took the best equipment available and 2 four star drivers but I'm miles behind. Is that a design to give the AIs an advantage? Do they start off with all the best equipment? I'd understand a couple seconds but it was 30 seconds at one point! I get lapped after 4 laps.
3. Can I disable the animations? The passing animations are nice, but it stops you doing anything or running the race quicker.
4. Is there any point binning old equipment? I don't seem to get any money back even if it's in good condition, so shouldn't I just keep it for when I'm out of money and my good stuff breaks?
5. Do I need a test driver? And as others have said, does testing make a difference? It's a lot of money to just throw away.
6. Is a good pit crew noticeable? It costs a lot of money for the best, which given how far back I am seems a waste right now.
7. Can you repair car parts? They lose more than 50% in one race so I seem to have to bin most after one race and buy replacements which is really expensive when you can't produce them yourself.

Any other tips would be great. It might be more fun if I can be a bit competative.

its probably a set up issie that you have, theres one set up that will probably have you winning most races straight away, i'd tell you what it is but takes the fun out of it you used the setup to make certain car parts last longer, longetivity i believe its called

But if you focus on Longevity you sacrifice top speed and other things, and I'm already way off the pace. :/
