Dark star One
Need cheats or trainer for dark star One v1.3 that works...money,missale cheats would be fine. Plese if any one still has this stuff help.

Hi nbs and welcome to the forum,

due to my own experience with all available trainers I regrettably must discourage you from using them.
They are either buggy or will cause a couple of undesired side effects.

I would therefore recommend the use of a Darkstar One Mod instead:
  • Darkstar One Gameplay FAQ
    Navigate to the Link "Mod Paket für Darkstar One" inside the 1st post to start the download of the 4 available ini-mods.
    (Storylinemod, E.L.I.T.E. mod and Eliminator mod by Bluefire; MesaMod by kirilltch.)
  • You may also download my own modification named "Versteckte Cluster" from Darkstar One - Modding (PC-Version).
    This is not only a pure ini-mod, but contains also a lot of new missions and tasks. One of the further highlights is the possibility to upgrade your DSO to the maximum of level 30. Since the link leads you to a german speaking website, you can find a brief description and detailed installing instructions on the Swat-Portal, all in english.
These 5 mods are all you can find in the whole web, there don't exist any more for the gameplay. Just 2 more graphic mods are known to me, which will change the colours of the Darkstar One.

Just a moment ago I found a fifth relatively new ini-mod, which may comply with your request: the DSO_Mini_Update.

Features:
  • Improved upgrade system (DSO up to level 30)
  • Improved plasma weapon
  • Improved production (goods & prices)
  • Improved economic wealth (rich/wealthy/poor)
  • Improved generators (shield, weapon and energy recharge)
  • Shield hitpoints increased by 25%
  • Improved rockets (agility, faster, more powerful, rate of fire)
    • Capacity of the rocket launcher set to 50 rockets
    • Big Bangs -> range of damage increased to 0.15 u
  • Afterburner set to 250% speed (previously 150%)
  • Special weapons will cause more damage
  • Faster reputation system
  • More money at game start (10,000 credits)

If you want to install the DSO_Mini_Update I'll give you a brief description below about the procedure, because the enclosed readme file is written in german and furthermore incorrect concerning the installation of the mod (I have analysed the mod even now).
  1. Extract the rar-file to the folder
    "My Documents\Ascaron Entertainment\Darkstar One\Customization\DSO_Mini_Update".
    You may choose another name for the folder "DSO_Mini_Update", that doesn't matter.
    .
  2. In there delete the two folders "3DView" and "CollisionObjects" as well as the file "ds_add.zip", they are needless.
    .
  3. Create a new empty folder with the name Save for the save games, the author of the mod has forgotten to enclose it in the rar-file.
    .
  4. Create a textfile named darkstarmod.ini in the new mod-folder with the following content (just copy & paste it):

    mod_name = DSO Mini Update
    ; Short description which is shown when the mod is selected, about 350 characters max.:
    mod_desc = Schnelleres Upgradesystem, Geschwindigkeit des Nachbrenners auf 250% erhöht. Waffen, Produktion und Ausrüstung verbessert.

    You may freely choose the text behind "mod_name = " and "mod_desc = ".
    Note: Do not use a word processing program like MS-Word, you must take a plain text editor like the Windows-editor Notepad!
    .
  5. Now the folder "DSO_Mini_Update" should contain the two directories "inifiles" and "Save" as well as the files "darkstarmod.ini" and "READ-ME.txt". The read-me is unimportant for the game and can be deleted or changed, just as you like.
    .
  6. Start the game, select "Mods" in the main menu, select and load the new mod (→ sample picture), leave the game and start it again.
    .
  7. Now you must start a new game, do not use saved games from other mods or the original, they are not compatible with the mod!
    .
  8. Have fun and may Eona be with you! Big Grin

I by myself didn't try all of them, especially the "DSO Mini Update" because I encountered it not more than 2 days ago, but I didn't hear much about crashes of the others so far. Since this is your first attempt to install a mod, I wouldn't recommend to take the "Eliminator mod", because it totally changes the storyline and may cause some problems or irritations therefore. When you install one of the 4 mods written by @Bluefire and @kirilltch, please definitely read the enclosed file "Modding.doc" in order to guard against misunderstandings.

If you get an error message, you can copy & paste it from the error report window into your request here. The other way is to open the file "report.xml" in the installation folder of DS1 and copy the CDATA-part at the beginning between the <message> tags to your post like shown in the example below.

I install the game once mor and delete all save games...now is working...i hope it will last...thanks for info...it is a good mod i got for 1 weapon 900.000 credits...nice

Just two more additional hints:

1.) When the game crashes, then this event might corrupt or destroy the file config.bin too. The config.bin contains all your settings for the gameplay and is located in the path "My Documents\Ascaron Entertainment\Darkstar One\". So I would advise you to make a copy or backup of this file after you have adjusted all your settings as desired. In the case of a next crash when starting the game, or if the settings are resetted to the default values, you can simply copy the saved config.bin back and you don't need to set all the options again manually.

2.) If problems occur after updating a mod, it might be a good idea, to delete the file ini_file.bin which you can find in the folder "My Documents\Ascaron Entertainment\Darkstar One\Customization\<name of the mod folder>\inifiles\". If you have modified the ini-files of the mod by yourself, then you definitely have to delete the ini_file.bin before continuing with the game. With the next start of DS1 it will be created again automatically, thus being up-to-date and possibly without causing errors anymore.

And again, just as a reminder: Do not copy and load save games from another mod or the original game to the save folder of a mod. In many cases they will involve a couple of strange issues which can hardly being found and fixed. Only the save games created within the mod itself (or those from other players with the same mod) should be there.

To anyone who wants to install the DSO_Mini_Update mod:

The installation procedure described above in #6 is obsolete, if you download the revised version DSO_Mini_Update_fixed.rar, attached to the end of the 1st post in this link.

In this new archive I stripped all needless files and folders, thus saving more than 52 MB of unnecessarily occupied disk space. Of course the missing ini file and the empty save folder were added too. Otherwise I didn't change anything else within this mod. Just extract the archive to the customization folder of the modding directory, switch over to the mod in the main menu of the game, leave and start the game again and you're ready to go.
