That's cool! I wish I was selected for the beta... although, in my infinite impatience, I signed up twice and was probably kicked out

Anyways, aren't you breaking some kind of NDA for posting this?

i wasnt selected just found it on you tube i check for new stuffwhen am waiting for things to load

Anyways, he could have at least put some more effort in producing the video. This footage is from an older beta version, it's not showing the highest graphics quality settings and the sound is choppy for some reason.

I'm not going to remove the video and spoil the party, but please keep in mind that the game actually does run a lot smoother.

That's what you get when inviting kids without any definition of "respect" in, and not enforcing the agreement which all applicants agreed on.

We are enforcing the agreement. The NDA violator has been tracked down and removed from the beta program.

With that many violations there's really a need for a better agreement, one the developers and Kalypso Media can rely on if something really gets out of control.

I suggest a stronger policy against people violating the agreement, and also immediate removal of the leaked material or materials in order to keep Kalypso Media's professional reputation.

Two violations out of several hundred invited is not that many.
We can't guarantee "immediate removal", in some cases, we can't guarantee removal at all - if somebody has posted screenshots on his own site, we can do nothing to remove them. But we do what we can :-)

The closed beta isn't over yet, and these two are the only ones you know of.

In an industry where a piracy rate of 66% is the norm, a NDA breach rate of < 1% seems low.

What assen points out is telling. In this age of Bernie Madoffs and ENRON Inc., lots of people try to live up to their social agreements.

What is more important is that the larger issue in this instant case is not how well Haemimont "enforces" the NDA, but rather what level of crap the violators leak.

So some socially irresponsible individuals get access to the Beta test and for their personal reasons publish visual stuff. Do they accompany it with a detailed text explaining the problems they encountered? Doubtful. Typically they just make a big visual splash for ego satisfaction. The violations are

• Cheap Shots (Americanism)
• Poorly done visuals
• No basis of critique of the game
• Typically meaningless as to the final release
  

Perhaps if someone who knew T1 and/or program coding broke the NDA with a text commentary, it would be a different matter.

Why are you comparing a closed beta with piracy?

And even if its completely valid to compare them with each other, you can't just close your eyes for those who break the NDA.
That would be the same as not punishing murderers because "there are twice as much robberies than murders".

All I suggested is to update the NDA with stronger punishment if its broken by a user. It seems you didn't even want to read me stating that, if that's the case: ok, I will end this endless discussion right now.

Because they are both a symptom of the same: lack of moral obligations, feeling of "I can do anything and they can't touch me".
