A release late in the week would make sense as I'd imagine they would have announced the exact day by now if it was releasing any earlier. That wouldn't bother me in the slightest tbh. I'm waiting on some hardware to arrive for my PC which likely won't be here till late next week. If the demo releases on Friday that would be perfect for me as then I wouldn't have to suffer knowing it's out and not being able to play it Big Grin

Oh... man, that is a horrible choice of words, Kalypso.

I mean that with totally zero offence, but you do realise people are going to see the words 'September 7' or '7 September' and block out all the rest? Then, when September 7th does roll around, and if no demo is released on that date, you can be damn sure we'll have thousands of people streaming onto this site screaming their hats off about there being no demo.

I'll probably do that anyways, even with full knowledge that it probably won't be tomorrow.

Thousands? Maybe a few dozen, lol.

I posted info about Tropico 3 on another forum..and even with a hardcore Tropico 1 fan on there..even he didn't know Tropico 3 was in the works..let alone approaching release.

Yea I only know because of a recent xbox magazine, they had a full page add in it. Kinda laughed because I hadn't played tropico in so long.

My curiosity overcomes me. What forum was that?

But even better, how is that "Tropico 1 Fan" defined as "hard core"?

This is a bad week for releasing a demo....at least for me!School starts on Wednesday for me,which stinks, because I won't be able to play the demo, unless if it comes out today or tomorrow.

They're probably working hard to get the demo as polished as they can, working away the last few bugs..

Is looking forward to donning the El Presidente title again.

They are still going to test the demo, it will come out between the 7th and 13th of September with room for error.

they said the demo would be out the week of yet 5 or 6 of the calendar challenged have already asked why it wasn't out on the 7th. they didn't say the 7th! they said the 7th, the 8th, the 9th, the 10th, or the 11th! so, that's the reason [Image: toothy.gif]. there are many, many, many variables involved in getting a product to market so they stipulate a date range which allows them a little flexibility in case say, they lose power at the office, or a critical developer is out with swine flu, or Eleanor Rigby dies, crap like that.

I think it is a little sad the Kalypso hasn't even updated the release date for the game on their main website, kind of shows their strong organization.

RE: TROPICO 3: Official release dates & Demo version
Well I wish they would release a patchable demo where bug fixes could be uploaded if there is a need.

Maybe this would be too time consuming for them to keep patching with various issues met by different people. I used to play Tropico quite regularly and heard about a Tropico 3 only recently via the trailers on gametrailers.

They need to get some previews on major websites like IGN to get some popularity and hype !
By the way the release date shown on Steam is still September and we cannot pre-order on Steam !
