wow 126+ views and not a single response.
let me speak for some then.
we wanted something in the patch to tweak garages, roads, newspaper buildings to what many seemed more reasonable.
seems like we're going to have to wait more.

The changelog lists some of the most prominent fixes/changes for the patch, there's probably going to be more. After all, the patch is going to be quite considerable in size ... ^^

timo,
thank you for your efforts in the forth coming patch (even though i don't have the game yet), but while we have you can you answer a couple of questions so as to silence a few of the vocal yokels on this here forum?
[Image: http://www.crimeshots.com/forums/images/.../argue.gif]
is there a hard coded upper limit on population size? if so, is it set for the campaign or scenario by scenario? and lastly, is "free mode" limited as well?

Oh that fast. I am really impressed with the support from Kalypso and Haemimont.
Both on the forum and the speed of patches. And not to mention that the game was stable on launch, something very rare these days. Many thanks. I will definitely be keeping an eye on future games.

Thanks for the patch, keep up the good work.
@minmaster - i wouldn't expect any major changes for quite a while. They will need to focus on bug fixes/performance issues and the minor tweaks before moving onto major game changing fixes.
Be patient

If this patch is released so quick after release, one shouldn't expect some major changes from this hotfix. If it fixes the radio and music problem along with some performance tuning than that seems adequate. This game looks very stable and performant on it's release. Congrats to dev and quality assurance teams!

The patch has come very quick, I'm impressed.
Hopefully performance on tweaked/overclocked systems will be improved. I know you've stated you do not support overclocked hardware, however I would suggest that it is in your interest to do so, as it covers a large customer base.

I don't know if you have any background in software development, but if you had/have - how would you support overclocked hardware? Think about it, there is no way to do it. All they can do is optimize. Thats it.

Okay optimize, whatever. No I don't have a background in it so I admit I wouldn't know. It's just that they have mentioned on this forum a few times that they 'don't support overclocked hardware'.
I personally am experiencing performance issues with a high end system and am unable to play the game with maximum visual settings smoothly when I should be able to. So whatever the cause I hope it's fixed.

Buckshot, I think what a developer means by 'not supporting overclocked hardware' means that if your configuration is not stable, they won't change the game to detect overclocked hardware.
If you configuration is stable, I do not think that there should be particularly a problem when your system is overclocked. It is part also of overclocking to test for stability (on your side, not on their side) on long period of intense computation.

If you use 64 bit system you might have not enough memory installed for those, 2GB is not enough for such system. 4GB should be enough. Don't set Ultra setting, they might create a bottleneck somewhere and don't produce and visualy significant results compared to High.
Today's trend with newest graphics cards are untuned drivers. They are mostly the cause of low performance on bad ass systems until drivers are fixed, ATI has this problem i think with all new cards going into market. Thats why i switched to Nvidia long time ago. Their drivers have better quality, always had.
And developers will never detect overclocked hardware, or if will just to say that they don't guarantee their software stability, nothing else. There is no way to counter overclocking side effects from your software.

Thanks. Just out of curiosity...
1. When the steam version for the U.S. residents, will it contain all the patches that you put out up until that release day on steam (currently listed around Oct 20, 2009). and
2. I too as have others are wondering about a population cap, is there such a thing in the game or is it that they/me/we havn't learned to play the game properly yet or some other reason?
Thanks,

The patch is out now and loads when you start a game (and you are online). You can say yes or no whether you want to install it. Fix list is the one posted here.
