I don't know why but Patrician will no longer load on my computer.

Now I am getting a virus message every time I try to load the game that "schnelltransfer.dll belongs to virus/spyware/Malware Generic-A". When I tried to remove the file that the anti-virus software (Sophos) had a problem with the game no longer functioned.

Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

To me, a quite logical explanation is that anti-virus software is hypersensitive. A recent update might explain why the game will not start anymore.

Maybe you can try deactivating your anti-virus program and start the game? schnelltransfer.dll is an original file and hence it should be free of any viruses or spy-/malware.

NB: Since Kalypso is not the manufacturer of Patrician it is not likely that they are able to offer you any help. Ascaron, the original manufacturer, does not exist anymore and, as a result, there is no official support available.

Well.. if you feel like that about your anti-virus software, why don't you change it? I recommend you to use Kaspersky if you decide to change the one that you are using now. I use Kaspersky too and I like it.
