[MAC] Tropico 5 constant crashes
#1
Tropico 5 is systematically crashing after a few seconds or minutes in a game.
I can launch the app, select options and everything, but every single game I play ends up crashing after a few minutes (maximum).

I have the following configuration : Mac book pro retina 13", early 2015
Nom du modèle : MacBook Pro
  Identifiant du modèle : MacBookPro12,1
Nom du processeur : Intel Core i5
Vitesse du processeur : 2,9 GHz
  Nombre de processeurs : 1
Nombre total de cœurs : 2
Cache de niveau 2 (par cœur) : 256 Ko
  Cache de niveau 3 : 3 Mo
  Mémoire : 16 Go
Version de la ROM de démarrage : MBP121.0167.B17
  Version SMC (système) : 2.28f7

I have a fresh install of El Capitan 10.11.6 (done from scratch two weeks ago after deleting the full hard drive)

Here is an extract of the crash report, where it appears to be a graphical problem...

Hello kavon646.
Could you please share some more details. Most important would be your system specs. So please add to MacOS sierra please following details:
CPU, GPU and RAM in order to get this sorted properly.
Additionally have you installed Tropico 5 anew after you have updated to the new MacOS?
If not please do so by completely removing the game f rom your machine and downloading and reinstalling the game anew.

cheers

Hello guys,

I am experiencing the same problem on my MacBook Pro. I have the Steam version if it matters. The laptop is new and Sierra is up to date (10.12.2).

CPU: i7, 2.8 GHz
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 530, 1536 MB & Radeon Pro 460, 4096 MB
RAM: 16 GB

Thanks for looking into this.

/edit: Already did a fresh install. Didn't help Sad

Cheers,
Soli

It would be useful for support to know if any of the folks having crashes are running two graphics cards and two monitors. There appears to be several threads on various MAC forums where this Graphics Error is being reported "Graphics hardware encountered an error and was reset: 0x00008813".

Hello,

2 Graphics Card, yes (Intel HD Graphics 530, 1536 MB & Radeon Pro 460, 4096 MB). Two monitors: no.
I am currently playing on Windows (using Parallels). No crash so far Smile

Cheers,
