Many times the game crashes when trying to save it. This is quite frustrating as all game progress is lost since last save.

System: -
Intel QX6850
BFG GTX8800 OC
4GB Corsair 1066Mhz DDR2 RAM
Vista HP 64-bit
Xfi Extreme music

Video settings are set to "high" (not even "ultra").
AA set to "low".
AI set to "low".

Monitor is set at 1152 x 864.
GTX is using the latest drivers.

Given the system I'm using it is unbelievable this game would crash even at these settings.

A patch/fix from Kalypso or Haemimont would be appreciated.

Otherwise, I like this game very much. Playing it every night. Love just wandering through my cities once they're built. There is real atmosphere, feeling and immersion in them. Bravo, Haemimont!

Would enjoy more missions and more difficult missions also. Especially would like to have more to do with barbarians or even other bigger armies (Carthage? Greece?).

I have the same problem, many have. And now my game crashed and it wont load again. Nice! One hour of game play is lost, this game starts to get on my nerves..... This upcoming patch better be good.

Once I lost almost an entire mission from the beginning because I turned off "autosave" (it was annoying).

Now I save the game very often so that even if it crashes I don't lose too much.

I've just started whit the same, hopefully it will work

I cross my fingers when i go to save my game. I save every 5-10 min and try to go over what i've done so i can remake any development incase the game crashes.

It also locks up when dealing with larger cities but this is usually after 2+ hours of play (memory leak). So i restart the game every hour or so.

The auto save function also seems to crash on me so i turned it off. :/

Try to pause your game when you save. It helps from crashes during saving process.

I will set on pause when saving and re-load game every hour as well. I noticed the longer I play, the more my HD is working working working! (Samsung Spinpoint 500GB)

But, hopefully, soon Haemimont will come out with a fix because it seems not right that this game should crash so often on systems that can obviously handle the game.

We are currently finalizing the patch which should fix the reproducable bugs.
Hopefully, the testing is finished by tomorrow or Friday that we can release the patch plus a new scenario called "Augusta Raurica".
