Sad XBOX360 TROPICO3 Burns image into TV
Hello support,

I downloaded the demo for Tropico 3 for XB360 and have enjoyed it thus far. I was considering purchasing the full game, but noticed an issue that will prevent me from playing the game any further. After playing the demo for a few hours, I turned off the game and watched television and noticed that the Tropico 3 demo's menu map system had burned an image onto my plasma TV screen.

Could you make a patch that would fix this issue?

I think if you made the map or any other static menu that is displayed constantly during game play alter itself in a dynamic or opacity shifting animation it would solve this issue. or make it so that if you need to call up the map yourself and it only displays for 10 to 15 seconds.

Thank you,

Maybe I forgot to ask the obvious question...

Is it possible to turn off the mini-map?

Unfortunately, it's not currently possible to turn off the mini-map. Image burn-in has not been an issue with any Plasma set this game was tested with. Are you sure you're experiencing image burn-in or is it just image retention (which is common for Plasma TVs)?

Dear Support,

I've already expereienced the same problem. Wich is not a burn but a ghost. But this problem is very annoying. On FULL HD Plasma tvs it is very common with still images. Because of this many games have a HUD off or fade option or opacity setting.
I love and played a lot with Tropico 3 on XBOX360 on my FULL HD Plasma tv but I stop playing because of this issue. I cant be so sure that this problem will not be a BURN with time... Sad
A patch to fade the HUD will be very good solution to this issue. Tropcio 3 has got a lot of play-time. More than most of the games out there thanks for Your greatness Smile but it is a slow death to my tv's panel left corner Sad(
