Markets Not Providing Meals?
I'm relatively new Tropico, been playing number three and just going through the campaign missions right now.
Problem I've been having is, my markets just aren't distributing meals, I'll build way more farms than needed, so I'm 99% sure that it can't be the lack of food.
The funny part is sometimes a market will provide meals for a long time, one I had after a chunk of years, had given out over 1500 meals, then just stopped, and for 10 years plus would not give out a meal!
Does the shopkeeper literary need to go and pick it up from the farm but can't because of traffic maybe? Do teamsters take the food to the markets? (I don't think they do, but I'm not sure, once I tried building some next to farms and markets, but nothing changed.) or is the worker to busy fulfilling needs?
I'm new to the game, so it could be an obvious issue...but it seems like so many people are dieing of starvation when I have plenty of farms and markets...yet the markets don't work and people have to travel long distances to get food, slowing down my overall production!
The strange part is when a market is loyal for so many years, then stops cold turkey.
Thanks for any feed back I get on this subject, I'm sorry if it's already discussed somewhere else or just a dumb question.
