It is somehow possible to retrieve a book with the last report?

Is there a shortcut key? And somewhere a list of keyboard shortcuts?

Yes, you can view the last report only when a new event notification dialogue box pops up, look at the top and you should see a round, left-point arrow button, click on it to view all the old logs.

I am not aware of any shortcut key that can manually call up the message log.
