Great news Timo. I asume this is for PC only and not Xbox 360. Any news on a 360 update?
#3
This update is PC only for now. We are still working on a Xbox 360 update, please bear with us!

This is great news since I haven't been able to play the game since purchase due to the freezing and crashing bugs.

The only question I have is why did you increase the soil depletion rate? I thought it was already too fast and it just increases the tediousness of having to constantly micromanaging/cycle your crops instead of enjoying the game.

Either way though, thank you for the patch!!!

Awesome news, I've got xbox 360 and would really enjoy the opportunity to build an Island with a population of 1200 and have the road cap increased as well.

Cheers Timo.

Tropicans could marry their own grandparents? That's somewhat awesome, never seen that before. My question relates to offshore oil deposits--how can you tell how much of the resource you have? Clicking on the platform doesn't seem to do anything.

Ima kiss you! Big Grin

I was beginning to lose hope that 1.09 would be the last. Sad

Fantastic news! Smile

I would never have even noticed my Tropicans marrying their own grandparents but I guess somebody did. I guess I don't get that involved with my subjects.

Still, nice to see an update coming down the line. Thanks Timo.

Tropicans aren't marrying their own grandparents. Tropicans sometimes married their great-grandparents, or rather, step-great-grandparents (the age difference might seem a problem, until you take into account deaths and spouses remarrying); this happened very rarely and led to a certain crash.

Fixed economy faction demands

What is that ? The Nationalist faction relating to the average Caribean pay?

If the Police do not arrest the person, does the Soldier make the arrest instead?

Anyway to make elections harder to win? Smile Faster soil depletion should put more strain on the pocket book, so making it more of a challenge. I assume rotating crops, or laying fallow, replenishes the soil.

save game crash is fixed?! WOW. What was causing it? Im dying to know!!
Online Challenge: Oil Rush has a day 1 starting population 425. Its the largest map ever created, and has over 24 oil fields. Its on page 2 of the online challenges.

As an Xbox360 owner i feel unloved Sad

I always assumed you could take the PC patch and apply it to 360, since thats what most other people say they do.

Anyways, will this fix the load-game crashing aswell? As i see it fixes the save game crashing?

Also is there any way to see how much money we've made total off a certain item? For instance i wanna see how much money i'v made total off of tourism, but i cant seem to find it.

And another question lol, sorry, once soil depletes, it undepletes right? I dont wanna have to keep moving my farms.

When is the 360 patch coming out?

I cant go on 4 of my Islands cause of loading sceen freezes!

I fear that even after the patch, the big islands wont be loadable. Itll only apply to future islands Sad

I hope not

Please patch for 360, please please please
#17
Any chance you can make the patch available to those with no internet connection on their home/gaming pc?!

I see no mention of the palace wages bug or the election bug being fixed... I do hope these have been fixed but not mentioned. I have posted them to both the forum and emailed them direct.

Will install at the weekend and see!

Is Tropico 3 (xbox 360 PAL version) getting launched in India on 16th Feb? If yes from where can i buy it in Mumbai, India. Please help.

I've been waiting months for an update to become availible to my xbox 360 game! i have the saved game issue. it's so annoying, i would play an island for a while and it would load fine but then at a random time it would stop loading! and hours of work vanished just like that! i don't have the game anymore since i got my money back. but i've been waiting to buy it again when i know it will actually work! any idea when we can expect a fix on the 360??
#26
I have never experienced any of the problems listed, so it wont make much change.

How about downloadable (and purchasable) content, such as buildings and infrastructure. That would be a lot better.

PLEASE - is this going to be available on Steam?
#28
I too would like to know a timescale on the 360 patch. There have been a stream of patches for the PC so far and not one for the 360. Surely a patch can be released for the MAJOR bugs? I'm currently thinking about returning the game seeing as within the 1 day I've owned it I've had the crash on save and the crash on load (500+ population) bugs. These are not small bugs. They're gamebreaking.

Yes it will be.

i just don't understand how they can get away with selling the 360 game when none of them work. i emailed their support line and told me that it's a problem with the game not particular discs. so if every 360 user will suffer from these issues how can they not offer a fix for it ??!!

and if i were you i would return asap, i've had two copies of this game (both had the bugs) and i've returned them both, just waiting for them to fix it before i get another copy.
