ooh no no my friend you must watch closely! click on your dock when the ship arrives it first drops off the peoples, then your dock warehouse will empty some if not all and the cash transaction takes place right there and then!
THEN the crane does the moving the box thing and the ship leaves and you get the message of the transaction that happened some time ago when the ship was on shore!
Its all good its all good!

sometimes it comes in increments if you have a large shipment i have noticed

what has happened to you the bug?

I noticed an issue with the online leaderboards. When you first open them it shows you at a certain ranking, but when you click on the next page link it refreshes and the scores are considerably higher. Its like the scores are cached. It also doesn't appear to be refreshing the scores regularly. My games scores are higher than what is reflected on the leaderboards.

The leaderboards issue will also be fixed.

Does anyone have an idea of a date for the update?

i agree cheating and hacking are for punk kids. who are not good at games so they have to cheat to get ahead. JUST PLAY THE GAME OK CHEATERS!

So the leaderboards allow cheaters to upload their scores? That's pretty dumb, but it seems to me that there aren't that many cheaters. Considering only the first page contains ridiculous.

If someone needs to cheat to make the game fun that's fair enough, they should enjoy tropico. But for heaven sakes don't let them upload their scores to xbox live! That's insane! Tropico 3 Leaderboads: Who can cheat the most?

Does the update improve road construction? Right now it is pretty difficult to place a seemingly straightforward road layout. Placing roads becomes utterly tedious when going up a mountain, even in areas where they appear to have been designed for roads (ex. dirt paths).

When is the update coming out? cause we really need it!!!!!

A tiny bit of a bug:

On island generator whenever i generate a Island
I get a round island, i change the size and elevation
and all that happens is that i get a smaller round
island with a couple of Mt.s on it. Really boring shaped.
Annoying, cause i want a interesting island like the
tutorial one. I use the defualts, but i want a funny
shaped one that I can change vegetation, ect, ect.

Yeah the island generator got on my nerves a few times. Like you I would want a more interesting shaped island, so that I have to build around obsticles like moutains and around a bay type area.

And for those of you asking about dates, I don't think you'll get an answer. It's being worked on, we should be happy with that lol. I can't wait for the patch to come out, I've been waiting since November to continue playing lol!!

if you keep generating you get some funny islands....i got one last night with a huge cove in the middle, almost like a huge lake

No new info on the date for the title update, sorry.

The island generator generates circular islands at the smallest and the largest sizes; they get a bit more irregular at the medium sizes.

assen, do you work at Kalypso cause sometimes you seem to know more about the game than most people.

I work at Haemimont Games (the developer of Tropico 3), not Kalypso Media (the publisher).

Although you don't have a date, do you have any idea of how close it is to being completed? (weeks,months ect.) Sorry if i seem a bit pushy lol, i just can't wait!! :-)

Timo, I just want to say a big thank you from the bottom of my game addicted heart. Thank you to kalypso and haemimont games for making such an incredible complex game, and thank you for even caring enough to make an update for all of us xbox gamers. I know how hard code construction can be, and i know that even something as minute as changing the way a tropican child walks opens up the possibility of bugs in each place they visit, etc. and know that repairing one bug can create hundreds more. But mostly, thank you for even caring, as ive seen much larger publishers not even bother to update much more hyped up games than this one. For such dedication I salute you and patiently await the update.

Folks I have just booted up the game on 360 and I am having a major issue. Due to my colour blindness I can't see what option I have selected on the main menu or the options screen. My wife can just make it out but I feel stupid staring at the screen trying to make out what option the cursor is on. Has anybody else experienced this?

By the way I have a 42 inch HD TV. All I need is a dot or another mark on the option I have selected.

Update on 360 Please. i know you guys are working hard on it and nobody appreciates that more than myself but as RGT94 said: weeks, months, years, decades?

I wish we could. There are no fixed release dates for these kinds of things. We will make the update available via Xbox Live as soon as it's done. This being said, things are going well and we're confident this will be available soon.

When you say 'will be availible soon' do you actually mean soon? as in weeks? or do you mean 'soon' as in months?

We're actively working on it, and we'll try to get it through certification by Microsoft as soon as possible, so I certainly hope it won't be "months" or even "a month" - but I'm not even sure we're allowed to talk about it before it's certified - and once it's certified, it'll prop up on Live in a matter of hours.

So the reality is that we can't give you any official advance release info before the "boot your Xboxes, it's ready" phase. Sorry.
