That's not all together true. Your old people do contribute to your economy. If you take the time to observe a few of them you'll note that they pay rent, visit pubs, restaurants, and clubs. All of this contributes to the economy, and when you play a scenario that requires a high happiness rating, you'll find their contribution to society here too. Don't underestimate their value. Wink

Unfortunately, you can only at best break even with them. As if they are making a wage, it is assuredly from Social Security, which means you paid them to begin with without them giving something back. In fact, it's not even really possible to break even... because they still affect the food supply.
